[SC] screen recorder

Hi, i saw some pretty cool videos in the video thread, and i was just wondering if you have any software that records the screen (free ones if possible)

If it is illegal to say any name of software ignore this thread and let an admin delete it

 

Hypercam always worked for me. Google it and you'll find a free download for it.

If you have an Nvidia graphics card I would recommend 'Shadow Play' - they recently just renamed it to 'Share' though in the Nvidia panel if you end up looking for it. It uses little to nothing in terms of resources on your machine. If not then the second I would recommend is Bandicam or Fraps. Fraps tends to be fairly taxing on your PC performance compared to Bandicam but the quality can be better if you want it to be.

Hypercam is fairly outdated now, it does the job still, but if you want the best bitrate and and video compression quality then its better to look somewhere else.

 

Many cam free version will allow screen capture also VLC media player as a screen record function you may also need to think of a video editing software for post production and formating to mpeg 4.

 

frap sucks,bandicam is alright and manycam tends to have trojans so take your chances with that and hypercam I stay away.
