[SC] Server Issues

    Are the servers down?

    I can log in but I can't get onto the game page. I tried to get on Global America and America West but came across the same issue.

    It is only due to the assembly system being implemented into the game page, it will work as soon as this has been done.
     
  3. They are trying to launch Assembly... OMG, been at work 7 hours and still not ready to initialize. :eek::eek::eek:

    Hi all - this sounds like it's a separate issue from what some people are experiencing in-game (assumed to be linked to Assembly release).

    We've been having some outages that likely are the cause of the OP's problem. This is unrelated to Assembly, but we're aware of the issues as well, and have been working with our service providers to investigate and resolve the problem(s).

  9. But did you expect anything different than what we received? What was the last Game Improvement that was implemented and had no issues with the Launch Event? I can go back to last May and remember a problem with every Event in between including the Parasite Tide Event I am starting with where it had to be reloaded as the Gygerthrall was not being counted when it got destroyed.

    I agree with as much interest this has inspired I would have thought it would have been thoroughly tested before launch but they chose not to do that and even the last Open Test they did had major BUGS in it so it was expected to have them on the launch.

    I'm not going to say that every event/update launches as smooth as every one might like, but as stated above by Rick, the server outages are a separate issue & assembly was already scheduled for today. It's not like DarkOrbit said, 'lets have a DDoS knock on traffic/server outages for assembly launch'... They've got people working on that and they're working at the assembly stuff.

    There are some things that the test servers can't and won't reveal. It's been opened several times to test this, as I'm sure you're aware, but some things can(and will) only crop up when live and that's what they are out to smooth out now.

  13. I am not being nasty Solid_Eye and yes from your explanation we have a clearer view...
    but as I said in another thread there seems to be a confused definition as to where accurate info is coming from and many Threads and posts could be avoided/fielded to an appropriate answer without so many getting blown out of proportion by ppl saying how bad things are when its already been done by 10 other ppl in various threads... are there any potential other routes that could be considered to avoid all this ?? sorry if I have wandered from the OPs original thought...
     
  14. The biggest problem is that items seen in the TEST have not been addressed. The Drop Rate was inconceivable on the TEST killing 60 NPC for a single drop, give me a break. The last TEST the cargo Collection did not even work and it was never Opened again after this failed TEST.

    I am sorry but it is just disheartening when the Events cause so many problems that people decide to not play any more.

    Not sure there's much to be done really - I mean, we can react to situations to handle them (close out dup threads, merge things, make a dedicated thread to close out the rest, etc), but we can't really preempt what issue might occur when things happen :/

    Neither of those are really on topic with the server issues queried here. As for any actual bugs, I've hardly gotten that far in all this yet (I'm sure others are/have if that's of consolation), it's been a busy morning^ ^

  16. What I can do?, I can't do anything with this lag, only 4 attack something my screen freeze, this is so annoyed :s

    We've a thread to help provide some information on lag issues for the dev team, if you haven't posted there yet I'm sure they'd appreciate you doing so

    & There's always the cache clearing option, seems to have helped some at least. Not much more we can advise atm though outside of general trouble shooting to try improving any lag issues as we generally would.
