[SC] So, I'm back...

I've been gone for quite some time. I left DO because I was disappointed in how hard it was to move up in this game and how brutal it can be for new players. Not much has been done to mitigate that since I left. Look at that new vengeance design. The claim is that it's supposed to help vengeance users fight goliath and aegis users by giving it "more firepower," but it only has 16 laser slots vs. the goliath's 15. That isn't ultimately going to do anything against someone with much more shield and health than you. What caught my attention was the boosted SPEED. Let's not kid ourselves here. More firepower than a goliath and the speed of a spearhead? That's the perfect small fry hunting tool right there. For staving off big guns? Cute.

In my opinion, the game was better off when the strongest you could get was 15 lasers and 15 shields. It encouraged cooperation between players and wasn't terribly difficult to earn. Most of all, players couldn't one shot noobies, or at least people who have been playing for a bit.

I'm giving the game another chance despite my reservations. Hope it doesn't disappoint this time...

 

Just don't worry about it. Apparently, you can have that design too, so yeah, no hard feelings on that. I think it is amazing design, and I am looking forward into buying Pusat when the time comes to do so.

I am also new player, if you can open my profile you will see i have almost 120 hours in game. On the start, it was hard to survive around. But, keep doing missions until level 10, than jump in Vengeance, get a cloack and start boxing your FE equipment. When you get FE equipment, it will be much easier. No one will be able to shoot you that easy, and you will get some pilot points which will make the job harder to enemies.

On the beginning, there were days when I got shot like 10 times in 5 minutes. Now, I barely get shot. The reason is simple: got some pilot points, made 300k+ shield, and that is not easy to take down.

So I DO encourage you to keep playing, it will be difficult, but I am sure you can make it, as much as I did.

PS. Don't get mad when someone shoots you, repairs in base now are 0 cost. That means, no paying uri anymore, as it was back in the days. Keep rocking!

 

Honey. I'm FE. I've been around before we had 10 drones, before we had aegis, before we had lf-4, before we even had eco rockets. In fact, when I started playing, strueners looked like yamatos, a ship that no longer exists along with the defcom. I just started over a lot because I quit and returned to the game a lot. If I hadn't kept starting over I'd be UE, probably. I never get shot down anymore. I said what I said out of sympathy for new players.

 

Well, I didn't knew you are FE now, cause you didn't stated anything on the post. I have been playing that time too, when Streuners had the look of Yamatos, and I thought I share some advice.

However, what I wrote may help someone else when reading/looking for advises.

 

True. That was good advice, and getting to FE without buying uri is a challenge of willpower indeed.
