So let me get this straight.. I've already done 8 Kronos gates and I have to do another just to get the dang blueprint? And how exactly do you expect us to get 2,250 Schism crystals?

I've been playing on the same server since 2008. My wallet has been open. In fact I got all my Hercs and Havocs BEFORE the double reward days or any changes to the drop rates. Ya.. my wallet has already been open.

Yes it is going to take time to get these Spartan. If it was easy everyone would have them, just like oil for the new ships. If you want something cool, you have to work for it. Too many people want something for nothing. People that use programs to play the game are an example.
When the Kronos gate came out, people were crying the blues because all the gates that they have done didn't count towards that first gate. I had to complete 5 Kronos before I got my Saturn Goli.
When there were problems with the Clan Battle Station, I was cranky and didn't play for most of a year. That was my choice. I went from rank 7 down to rank 20.
Many new players want you to give them credits, instead of earning credits. I have taught many players how to make credits easy.
How can you take pride in your accomplishments if you only have your hand out?
Yes it is going to take time and I will be proud to put all the Spartan on my ship.
I think it is a good idea to have a combination Stats drone design. I use Havoc on one config and Herc on the other for my goli, having them both together is a genius idea.
Here I am ranting, you have a choice to play this game or not. There are good and bad things about this game. One of the best things is meeting people and building a relationship with people all over the world. Chatting with other players is the most important thing about this game. So what if there is something that is awesome that is out of your reach. There are ships and designs for everyone's taste and playing style. I used small ships for hunting with because it is fun to do, a spearhead, a Pusat and now a Tartarus. I don't have all lvl 16 lasers on that ship, i just use the ship itself to fight with, it can do lots. My Leo has LF-3 on it just so I can shoot greens. if i get popped, big deal it is just a game and I don't get hurt.
This is a game whatever you make of it, I like to have fun. My goal is to increase my rank in ship kills and I am ranked 8th or 7th depending on the day.

souleater1 you have to complete a Kronos gate before you can see it in assembly.

 

You have to complete the Kronos Gate to get the Blueprint for assembly. Once received it is PERMANENT.

 

heh D.O needs new players this is not the way to get em they have made it impossible for any but the constantly big spenders. While i do understand the need for money players to feel like they got something to work for but this is to much of an advantage and also has a side benefit of alienating the new and also the free player who have yet to reach even full lf-4s on a ship.

 

They just dont get we want to play a multiplayer game they think we want to farm alone in a gate for ages and then colect some boxes.

 

They had to put schism at a high amount because there are people running around with 1000's here we go again

Ok I see But ur giving up two drone designs/drones for one plus 250 SCHism, u
also lose in stats 5% shields and 5% Hp when all drones are change to Spartan, check the stats on Havocs and Hercules yes ur combining them but at a cost.

 

Many of the players that are going to do this have extras of these designs anyway and now have something to do with them. These are targeted to the Gate Bashers who have been lucky enough to collect more than they need of these designs and now can combine them to increase their stats by applying 2 stat designs at the same time.

 

I got this from havoc & herc info from Darkorbit Wiki (maybe it will help someone out): When all current drones are level 6, the total damage bonus is 20% (with all havoc). Hercs - when equipped on your drones, shield power is boosted by 15% and if all drones have Hercules drone design, there is also a 20% HP increase. Spartan - stats with full set (10) - damage 10%, shield bonus 10% and hp bonus 15%.

I have to decide whether that 10% increase in damage worth the trade off? I have 350 schisms now and its going to take a lot of gates to get 2250 in schisms.

 

It's Like when the Epic drone design came out to enhance rocket damage, I suggested combineing the epic with the havac and give it two(2) abilities like the Hercules, but met with to much Drama over it and now u what to do the same thing with the Spartan, but with a
loss in stats ,it's a no brainer the spartan is a waste of money for loss i will get with the combineing to get the Spartan!!!!!!!, also I agree with a lot of others the
existing problems need to be addressed and fixed before U add any new stuff that
will cause more problems with the game.

 

you do realize that they increased the chances of getting Havocs/Hercs from Zeta/Kappa gates, that itself will help newbies get stronger much faster.

Spartans, like the upgraded lf4's, they are here just for the uberUFEs to have something to do(Its better to have them using their time and ammo on gates getting the schysm, than having them out here popping newbs...RIGHT?)

I guess the idea of an actual totally New to this game player is beyond you..... but when you start a new game you don't have gates ...in fact you have hmm missions which help them get started
but they face players who are outfitted with gear and stats light years beyond what they can achieve....the free to play player may not spend like they won lotto but will spend on occasion
they do have gates and still may take years to catch up so they see no reason to even help out the new player
what advice i have heard over chat many times is quit it's to much to play this game get out while you can oh and my favorite the above comments you missed the real special one quit crying its a pvp game.
Heh the game has uba, refraction zone, group gate. hades gate I'm sure I am missing a couple other things there is plenty for the uber player for lack of a better phrase to spend time, ammo on so ....an increased chances of getting top shelf items in gates may not be as helpful as some may think on first pondering the new additions verses helpful to new players let alone the part time or free player.
