[SC] Spectrums?? The struggle

I was destroyed 487 times, but no Spectrum destroyed me. Maybe somebody make a pool where we can vote what kind of ships destroyed us and what ships we use for PVP. I am sure that Spectrum will be far from top of the poll.
And really I don't see any UFE going out to hunt in a Spectrum, at least in EG3.

 

Are you seriously saying you can beat a ship that for 30 seconds does 50% less laser damage while you do 80% less laser damage? If it weren't near the top of such a list it would be either because people run away when a Spectrum uses its ability, they just travel in big groups out numbering enemy or the person was crap with the Spectrum. (again the only actual counter is a Spearheads JAMX otherwise no other way to counter it properly while every other Goli ability ship is either not that great or is not hard to counter and has multiple counters)

And in regards to how many people actually use the Spectrum... Don't need a poll for that go look on server maps and even easier way check on SB/CC if you don't see plenty then you're blind but how many people use it is irrelevant anyway. It doesn't even matter if a ship was not used much, a unbalanced ship is a unblanced ship and needs to be rebalanced in some way.

 

you get now groups with lame tactics ...having groups flying around in spectrum ,,when they also log in a noob ship solace ..en rep your own ship ..you cant die ..

let say 4 spectrum players in outfit group , all use a 2nd account with 4x solace ..... think you al can do the math ..you cant die

time to quit and thank do for screwing their own game again

No, because I am not a noob that uses obviously unbalanced ships only exception being sometimes I use Tardarus since don't really have much of a choice in the matter if want to do hit and run stuff(cause thanks but no thanks I do not enjoy being chased down in a Pusat by Tardarus's). But yeah unfortunately not everyone is like me who is disgusted by unbalanced crap, hence why the noobs use the crap.

I could careless how much I know something is good, if it is unbalanced or not fair then I will not use it cause I know it would ruin the game if everyone used it so less people that use it the better. Not that even have a choice with Tardarus on the other hand... Especially in a situation that want to hit and run cause outnumbered aka hit and run is the only option, and only choice sometimes is the Tardarus(as in enemy is using it so yeah have to use it aswell). Though if there is Spearheads about might be screwed, which is annoying cause a Pusat wouldn't be screwed cause you cant turn it's speed off... (of course Tardarus speed does need counter since so much speed but counter should be better)

 

dude spectrum is good as it is ... if u cant kill spectrum than stop crying ... there is alot of ways for a specturm to die ... dont forget there is JMAX abiltiy on spierhead ... its not unbalanced ... so dont talk that spectrum is over powered couz its not ... i kill spectrums with surgeon even if they have ability on ... there is always kamikaze .. lance formation DD mines ... DCR rockets ... it does not matter the sepctum ability the ship is ok ... the only thing DO should have not messed up was the speed on ships ... but well whats done is done get tartarus and kill new players xD ...

 

Oh... Even when the Pusat was released much said that the Spearhead will be useless, but... I am still the Black Devil for much enemies with that ship

That scenario is completely accurate. But the reason why tartarus is not OP is that tartarus will always lose that 1v1 situation. Unless he runs. But the goli will never die.

I agree with you...I do like doing UBA and most player come tanked in Spectrum I still pop them..its hard but not impossible

still, there is tons of complaints over spectrums, now all i see is artic spectrums, they at least change the usual "samey" look of things, 9 spectrums is boring to look at, with a glowing spectrum at least things look decent.

 

This thread is not about bragging. It's about balance.

 

Spectrum is still nothing vs sentinel. Just easy kills.

 

[Note: I haven't gotten to read through this whole thread yet, it's something that I will have to revisit later on once I get some more work done]

Anywho, this seemed as good a place to mention as any - they are looking at making some adjustment to the spectrum ability - which is about all the information we really have concrete at the moment. We will have to wait and see what exactly changes though, and I'm sure we will pass that info on once we have it
