[SC] The thing that annoys me the most.

I, like many other players have put money on this game, and over the years and it has not been a total waste because there was an objective- getting stronger, faster, higher...Whatever- it was fun.

On the other hand, I don't like being told porky's and I'm very strict about being on time!

There are a number of issues about this game which are overly annoying...Why aren't things in place way before they are released? That's what the test server is for, isn't it?...
More than that, I think Dark Orbit should have someone employed to do real time updates specifically letting the community know when things haven't worked out...

At the moment several things are all over the place, twitch, discord, random admin posts e.t.c... e.t.c...Everything should be in one place and easily accessible, shouldn't it?

A few other points that need clarifying.

Bids: The timer is out of sync and hasnt been fixed for years. (GB1). Another thing that springs to mind; when a player gets a reward for killing an NPC, there seems to be a time delay and you cannot tell what you have just received! (Please disable it, it's annoying) I'm not sure if this happens to everyones' account?

Events: The new UBA season which commenced on GB1 from 01mar17...The advertisment is currently found on log in page. However, it emerged two days ago and we are already at the end of the month(I think there has been a backlog on info?) Furthermore, where can the FAQ'S on this particular (perculiar) event be located (link)...

If for some reason there is a delay, could the players possibly be notified; before, instead of after, or during, the launch of an event?

Developers blog: It randomly comes out especially at end of year and then the players are left in the dark for months on end?

False information: I am not blaming anyone here, but I remember being told about a particular event that an alien ship was cancelled because the drops that it was 'supposed' to do never happened. The player's were told it would come back the following month, unfortunately it never did and the community wasn't updated with the reason why it never came back.

Jackpot currency situation: A bit of a concern...Euro/pounds and not been removed- where do players stand with it? I have recently been informed that it isn't a priority to the DEV's. Maybe it isn't, but the players need answers in the direction which this game is going...A kind of well informed road map that meets the players needs and everyone is happy... We would like to know where we will all end up, or at least a rough idea of it....

 

Everything you say is pretty fair.

But couple of things I wanted to clarify.

Discord is the place where they announce everything. Today too.

Bids timer for me is perfectly fine. Exactly on the hour. Every hour. It used to be wrong. But not now.

For all the other things. I am just speculating and this is my opinion. But I have got a feeling that DO does have some troubles. Be it drop in player numbers or spent money? Or maybe Both. So I think they are trying so HARD to do everything at once. And that is why they fail.

Otherwise I really would like to congratulate DO staff. Because I can do see a much bigger effort to listen to us and try rectify things. But got a feeling that nothing will happen if game does not get paid enough.

This is my opinion and speculation. Please add anything or Let me know what you think I was wrong.

What server are you currently on?

I think they still have a number of avenues that they can exploit...It has to be done by an exceptional team with the original theme in mind...If they don't employ the staff because of funding then I'm afraid they will need some sort of investment because the players will drop off...
The thing is, people these days either don't have time or don't have money...Therefore they don't want to spend much and it's the same for companies, a kind of a 'loggerhead' situation...
The great news is Dark Orbit is probably still amongst the best games online....
