[SC] Topic About Booty Boxes: Remove LF-3 and SG3N-BO2, G3N-7900 from booty boxes

As for now that there is a new Item "Hardware" that is included in the booty box and is now entirely permanent in the game, why would DO still bother sticking those LF-3, G3N-7900 speed generator and SG3N-BO2 shield generator on the booty boxes? i mean newbies and noobs can take advantage of these but lets just be true to ourselves, those items are now easily bid on auction now a days (for some servers it is too expensive, but its for those who just started playing the game that these items are still in booty boxes)

The items "Hardware" on booty boxes are an additional item, which means again, less chance of getting an LF-4, Ships, and ofc, apis and zeus parts (apis/apis parts are usually easy to find, zeus/zeus parts is rare)

Why not remove these items and instead, increase the chance on getting an LF-4 and other rare items in the booty boxes (i would like to increase the chance for hardware materials for crafting event items but... many will disagree to it)

 

I defo want these removed but thats cos its not useful for me lol. this is what i got yesterday all in a row

I'd say no. Don't forget you are not the only ones that play this game. There are weaker players who haven't yet gotten all their LF3s, speed gens & B02s yet, and getting them from booty can save them a lot of credits/uridium.

 

so true, people only think for themself not for other

 

but im sure new players wont be buying booties off the bat to try nd get lf3s and shields and what not from booties when its cheaper nd better getting them from auction. heck, most the time new players will pick up booties for lf4s or apis

 

I dont like this idea at all .. , its okay for us , UFE players but as killersteaks reminded , there will be always newbies that wont have FE right from the begging , and meanwhile hunting for LF4s , they can get meanwhile generators and lf3s which is like double kill !

 

no they buy bootys for the off chance of getting a lf4,zeus,apis but if they are still low lf3 or b02 would still be worth somthing to them

 

The majority of players on servers are mostly FE's now, think of those weak players, why would they bother getting booty keys out of their uridium when there is only a "chance" for them to get those lf3 and shield bo2 they needed? did that came from zeta? well if it does, then just buy the uri they got from zeta, as so you know someone with atleast a few lf3 (15, or 20) would successfully finish zeta in just 2 hours without the help of any kami kazee from pet (zeta is mostly easy even for non-lf3 players, but longer to finish)

think of it, weak players would buy booty keys? are there events? then they are just wasting their uridium, uridium is hard to earn for newbie and noobs because they are hunted most of the time for fun, or for missions.

Newbies know what to do and what to spend their uridium, they wont use uridium to buy keys, maybe just straight buy the uridium on lf3s or shield bo2, or bid it on auction, they would think of "what if i wasted my 10k uri for keys, and get nothing but junk stuff and no lf3/bo2?"
they would just straight bid or buy the item on shop or auction.

or maybe this simple:
if they can do this, put a specific kind of booty box, put it on lower maps for noobs to pick and they might get a chance on an lf3 and bo2 shield, ofcourse maybe make the chance higher for them to get it? then make the normal booty boxes for FE players have higher chance on getting lf4 and other rare items instead of those items? because as i said the majority population of servers are all FE and are in need of lf4 not further items such as lf3 and bo2, most players rage quit about this reason, not because they gave up hope but because they always get those items for no good reason.

its not for a selfish reason, but rather it is for the developement of the game, further updating it removing all the unnecessary stuff that people usually dont need anymore (except for those who are in need, but they wouldnt waste 1500 uridium on a booty box that might give them stuff they dont want right? instead of the lf3 and bo2)

they instantly buy the items with their uri or just bid, simple as that, or most of them buy the starter packs or great deals package of upgraded lf3s and bo2s on payment anyway.

 

well thats one mistake for them, think about it most weak players are just people who came back to the game after years of not playing or months, but hey, anyway its just a suggestion, it still wont make a balance to the game the fact that lf3s and bo2s are easily acquired via shop or auction, lf4s are rare and not for sale, only obtained through hardwork finishing kappa, epsilon, doing special rewards on gg weekend, lf4 day (yeah right, more like lf3 day) zeus and apis day.

just so you know, adding those hardware will make players have a lesser chance on getting lf4s, and parts depending on the event on that day, and yeah, blue and red booty boxes? they still give those stuff that makes other buyers angry about it.

they wouldn't risk spending uridium to buy keys and get nothing, then spend more and still get nothing rather than buying the item itself.

 

Why do you suggest they are buying keys right off the bat. You can get keys from daily missions. Its the only ones I ever use and using them to get that which you want gone is great for them. Is the chance for the rare items growing smaller, yes, but killing off a new players chances is even worse. Can you get the stuff from the auction cheap, yes, but new players have to save up a lot just to bid on the items and while struggling for ammo credits, could use a break and possibly win some basic items from a box here or there. Most players you see may be FE, however, I see less than 1 week old new players every day trying to break into the action and they could use the help where they can get it. I do like your idea about them being in lowers and not in uppers; that's not bad.

 

No one really should be using booty keys in the hopes for finding an LF3, B02 or a Speed Gen. Just sounds crazy. Easier to bid for them and save keys for event days. Lets put the above in bonus boxes that will help out the new player so much more and might bring a better balance to the game. Make it a small % of finding them though so lets not go crazy . Like the pet10 event. Finding a pet in a bonus box, sweet.

Also take out the CBS modules from booty boxes. When I see that I have collected one of them. I read it as "you have received nothing"
They are in the auction and go for pennies. Why are they still in the boxes. The booty boxes do need freshening up. While we are at it lets sort out the bonus boxes and take away x1 lazer ammo and credits. Since when are they a bonus. Even to a brand new player.

I would rather get Lf3, BO2 or a speed gen over 768 2x and some xomite

But would agree if my chances to get FL4 went up a lot.

Even FE players need more LF3s and BO2s for 2nd and third ship

 

More and more noob players are starting to find guides, and start smashing zetas for keys, LDs and havocs.
From those, they are getting LF3s & B02s faster through credits in auction AND from booty keys. It really does help them, and there is no need to remove them until DO decides to start all new accounts with FE status.

 

I agree to you that it helps newbies and noobs alike on finding and saving uridium and credits for when they get the chance on getting lf-3s and bo2s, but think about it? they wouldnt need the lf-3s soon enough after they get full lf-3 right? lf-3s are for starting items to grind faster and more efficient, soon enough after they get the FE status, they would complain on getting these FE items they already have.

Think of it, if the chance on getting an lf-4 got higher because you removed the FE items on booty keys (newbies on pally maps cannot survive in the pally field without full lf3 and full bo2, and speed gens if no one is guarding them to pally peacefully, you know that enemy players and pirates will surely try to attack noobs right? so how would they complete a zeta gate? by boxing?)

they would literally choose over a higher chance of getting an lf4, free booty keys on missions are rarely seen on the mission control, and most of them are difficult to finish just for a few booty keys given to the player.

Why would newbies waste time collecting pally in the field while they can grind first, gain all the FE equipments they needed before heading straight to the pally field to where some servers are dominated by 1 company and clans, other servers that are dead would surely be lurking with pirates that they cant handle if they are not full bo2 and full lf3 right? their only chance on building a zeta gate is by either boxing, spending uridium at discount days on spins with rebate and prem, or finishing daily missions that gives few extra energy spins and only rare to see on the daily missions log.

and YES D.O would be the one to decide, but i wish they would deal with this matter because its more of a better advantage for them to when there is a sale on booty keys, or sale on booty and log disk on payment, the more the player get these FE items they dont need, the more the player needs to buy and try again to get a chance on getting more LF-4s right? (some still use keys on normal days because they cant wait for the lf-4 day or other booty keys event)

 

Idea: No LF3, B02 and G3N-7900 on all maps, EXCEPT on X-1, X-2, X-3, X-4 and X-7, because most of the newbies are playing on these maps. That would be good for FE+ and newbies could ignore this patch.

 

That seems true, but that is all up to BP. They can simply distribute the chance to all other rewards BUT LF4s. Think in the companies stand point. If they go through with removing FE items, they would funnel the extra percentage into the other rewards, BUT the LF4s.
