  1. total waist of time

serge said "the technology is stable" what a load of rubbish.... multiple servers down again for hours for another week..
rick dekard says "we listen to players " another load of rubbish the chat rooms are non stop as to how bad the "thought" that goes in to the game stupid continuous mistakes on development

darkorbit is following in the same foot steps as blizzard did with diablo 3

grinding gear games made a far superior game its only a matter of time when another space game that listerned to darkorbit player needs comes along....

the non stop flow of unhappy darkorbit players continues

sorry but darkorbit needs to stop following in the path of blizzard this game is dieing a slow painfull death

Judging by the end of the stream they are already aware of what most of the criticisms about the actual stream are going to be.

I think it would be worth having 2 types of streams, a content stream and a Q&A session.

Content would be purely showing a new feature and only answering questions related to the feature. I know there is not much confidence in showing very early stages of concepts and I fully understand why, but it could be worth it just as a very brief visual of things being considered. Visual aids would be more helpful than talking because generally they get more attention and it limits language barriers for people.

For example with server populations, if there was something showing all the concepts that have been taken into consideration then I think players would value knowing what is being looked at. Then so long as there was a big disclaimer on each thing saying it was early concepts this would prevent most people jumping to conclusions. Some people always will get ahead of themselves of course but if there was say 5 examples of things taken into consideration about server population then it's not unreasonable to assume most people will understand they are just concepts for now.

The reason I would suggest it is because when talking about big topics like that, they never really seem to have much of an impact on anyone unless its "We have decided do X and it will be out by Y". Whereas a visual aid is easier to talk about and generates more attention, just simple stuff like the positive and negatives of each solution being considered. It would also help yourselves being understood in the difficulties of the task because a lot of players do not see or understand the downsides of the likes of direct merging of servers in terms of their own economy / access to make uridium etc. Also puts across a better impression in terms of taking the topic seriously.

Q&A sessions could be similar to what the last 2 streams have been but honestly, put less emphasis on the questions being posted in chat. A lot of it seems to be the same questions about over and over - doesn't matter how many times you answer them, people will still ask.
It might even be worth putting a footnote on the stream telling people where to find the answers for the really common questions.

Having a thread prior to a Q&A sessions to get a set of questions ready to answer would also help like was mentioned at the end of the stream.

  3. Okay so it is a Q & A session. I heard plans of 5 year developments in game, talk of what the Crafting/Assembly system might entail and was "happening soon" bit could have used some actual INFORMATION of what was going to be able to be done during this and if it was a permanent thing or just a 2 week event. They say they want us actively participating in the events, funny the UFE do not want to do PvE quests, and the noobs are too much FODDER for the UFE when trying to complete these ridiculous event quests, the populations on most servers are so low that trying to get assistance to complete these is impossible or you are too weak to do them yourself (assuming you can even access the maps required). Then to make so many where you waste ammo to "DAMAGE" NPC's without killing them so someone else can get all the rewards is just wrong.

I agree they need to create 2 streams one that addresses the Developments and Changes coming to the game and the Q&A where they address the issues from the community (that flood the forums all the time), this would include what they have looked at, what they have thought about doing, why they have decided not to do certain things, give us an impression they are actually trying to resolve issues that have taken over this game, instead of "we are working on this".

I actually would have thought they might have even touched on the PURCHASE of BigPoint and confirmation that BigPoint was still going to control the progress of the game instead of just the little press release we got to read. What is negotiated in the Pre-Sale agreement is not always what happens at the takeover date.

  4. watched both the vids, its like watching paint dry, whats the point of screwing up the game to the point where u need a PHD to play, get real guys the servers are empty, without players this is all merely pixels

my concern would be that china is well known for its hacking skills.... how safe are our accts under a chinese developer???
as bad as big point now with all its glitches a change to an unknown chinese games dev with all the "chinese" goverment rules i find it had to see the game going any where but down hill.. fast

no wonder big point only sold for 80mill euros thats super cheap

  6. I agree, as if it has not already been going downhill, now they added the SNOWBALL EFFECT to it, wonder if they survive to BD 11?

Was Rickdeckard serious, servers are stable, we still have our veteran players, I have 3 top 10 accounts, none played in the last 3 months. DO have data, lol, so why 4 years ago were there 60 thousand players on GB1, now there are just over 6 thousand, I think someones data is wrong ?

  8. Data has always been ignored it is FEELINGS that D O works off of. They FEEL this is RIGHT so it is STABLE. Gotta remember he said in the first TWITCH he has "only been here a year" (or so) so he can only comment on the recent status of the servers not what we used to have. LOL

There were a lot of if buts and maybe's the only thing that had an answer of sorts was that the crafting system could be near the open beta stage. There were a few annoying things on the visual side mainly the feet on the table and the sight of shoe soles being very distracting the other visuals as was pointed out in the stream are being worked on.

  10. I would replace the CLEAR GLASS with something else as someone pointed out in the TWITCH CHAT it looked like he was playing with himself.

  11. Idk where u got that Chinese are well know for there hacking skills lol the fact is no matter who owns the game you can get hack if you dont keep your acc to yourself so no matter who owns the game you can still get hacked if not careful lol like Chinese could hack u right now without the need of owning the game lol so that comment is silly.

ps. I do think that the Chinese can make the game better like before the problem was the money bigpoint where acting like they was poor and so they made everything expensive which makes no senses but alright but ive checked on the new company and they actually make way more more money then bigpoint alone ever did so I think money will be not even a problem fingers crosed sinces it seems that the old bigpoint owners made a deal to stay within the company so there inputs will still stand which makes me think nothing will change.

  12. "if you dont keep your acc to yourself" do you live under a rock lol time will tell... once they clear out the "poor judgement/devs" that make the poor decisions then and only then will we see this game get back to what it once was

west us has approx 300 active daily users (thats over estimating) for a server with 5000+ accts thats a pretty poor ratio

  13. nope not mad. i just watch 3 ppl taking rubbish about that they think is good for the game and future possibilities, the sad thing is there getting the darkorbit communities aspect on the game so wrong they obviously start trying to justify there jobs that where a lot of ppl turned of twitch lol when they have no credible constructive input for the game you just stop playing like so many have

  14. I understand that plans have to be kept quiet as they may change but on the other hand letting the community know what is in the works and giving feedback on what we think about the proposed changes is not always a bad thing. Knowing about future improvements (not time tables) could make a person want to hold onto their account and keep playing while the improvements are worked on to be implemented. I don't think anyone wants to lock the dev's into a set time frame for anything but we do like to know there is something impressive coming in the near future. Letting us know that there is a direction as far as 5 years out yet not addressing pressing issues (like DDoS attacks) does not make sense to me as in 5 years there may be no one playing if they keep going at the rate they are currently.

to be honest the fact big point sold so cheap explains the bad problems the game servers are having if a german company cant support its own crap out (and they have a good reputation) then this game is gooooooonnnneeeee

  16. Did google tell you those numbers cx

IN my opinion bigpoint sold its self bc they had to many games and low staffed they needed more employes but they could not afford it appeartly, people are scared bc the new company is mobile based but im sure they have pc games and also why would they change much about the game when they could simply make another version darkorbit puzzle for mobile phones im also sure there security is quiet good if they own many games and make great value a year I checked there forums with a lil help of google translate Did not see any complaints about acc hacked unless they gave there stuff away and got hacked and complains about it. The fact is this game has been passed down for generations pretty much and it can either get bad or get better all we can do is wait for april 1st yes april first not may 10 april 1st the new company takes over then we wait for the future to see what happens.

  17. Article posted here;

    http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2016-03-22-bigpoint-to-be-acquired-by-youzu

    says the deal will complete April 16, if it makes it thru Chinese acquisition process and is for the Stock as stated;

According to Reuters, which translated an official Chinese-language statement, Youzu has confirmed that the deal to acquire Bigpoint's stock was worth €80 million ($89.7 million).

  18. bob_splendy there is a screen with your server stats ie company honor/points/number of players per company.... 5000+ per server is under guessing

  19. It is in the CLAN tab under Company and shows your current company and seems to be exaggerated as I can not see there are 3600+ on both of my servers and companies. Going thru the Top Users (10,000 maximum), and seeing over half with less than 100 rank points, I would believe this (4298 West/3059 East 2) anything less than this has not even completed the STARTER quests (1200 rank points just from completed quests, 180 for having just logged in once in 30 days after starting the account) so they have started an account on the server to see what is happening and left.

  20. my 5000+ was a bit much then lol i see probably less than 300 active if that
