[SC] UNACCEPTABLE BUG...

As i'm sure many of you are now aware from doing Epsilon gates on special reward weekend
you can get a duplicate design which is not intended and the cause of great ire.

Snippet taken from the Dark Orbit webpage -

• Goliath Surprise Pack: One Centaur, Peacemaker, Sovereign, Vanquisher, or Surgeon Goliath design. (Please keep in mind that should you already own one of these, you will not receive a duplicate identical design.)

So this is clearly a unintentional aspect of the game (a bug) so i see no reason why players should not be adequately compensated for this ridiculous bug!

i received the Vanquisher 3 times when i have all designs except Surgeon. i only did the gates based of the official statement that you will not receive a duplicate design. So i feel completely feel screwed over by Dark Orbit and Bigpoint when i spent 5k extra energy and over 200k uridium on doing many gates. I'm hoping people realise the gravity of the situation and how much ire this bug is causing and the people affected get adequate compensation.

I created this post to bring more light and attention to this UNACCEPTABLE BUG...

It clearly states that you will not receive a duplicate design and Dark Orbit acknowledges this as a bug.
I also never received 10k uri and do not wish to, as the intended game mechanics are for me to receive the Surgeon design.

 

I agree with the post and i think that u have to give him a compensation (give him the surgeon or give him 100kk uri for each vanquicher he took again ).

 

There is nothing in the advertisement saying you WILL be awarded a design. It just says you will not be awarded a duplicate design. These just like everything else in D O are CHANCE Rewards and if you are assigned a design you already have you will not see a design.

I do not know how many DUPLICATE threads we need to have over this issue but it seems that everyone thinks they need their own thread to make this issue more prominent.

It is a KNOWN ISSUE, the Dev Team will get to it and correct the posting of the awarded Ship/Design that is upsetting everyone so much of course, then everyone will be complaining they were not awarded the Surprise award at all. They never said you would get all 5 designs by doing 5 gates.

 

I appreciate the comment, but i received a design every time got the vanquisher duplicate 3 times after getting all designs but surgeon
so you clearly can get a duplicate i even took screenshots to prove. So i'm not quite sure whats going on, i know you get a reward everytime upon completion as i have done many gates on special rewards weekend.
So for them to say - "you will not receive a duplicate identical design" indicates you will get different designs and you get a reward everytime upon completion so anyone would think its possible to get all in 5 gates. That is the way it is phrased and stated so nobody has reason to believe otherwise!

Actually, whether you would want the uri or not for the designs, that would, and will probably in the end, be what you get. No gate automatically just fills your design/ship roster, just like besides the first of each, you don't get a LF4 or drone design each time. Send a support ticket in about it and as soon as they do their global fix thing, you will get, umm, something,

Your just going to help his complex that he already has.

To my best knowledge you do get a reward everytime in special gate rewards, lf4 in gates can either give you an lf4 or 10k x4 ammo, which i've experienced in the past. As for the drones in gates i can say much as i've only done one of those and received one cosmetic drone so it wouldn't surprise me if it was a 100% payout for a drone but there are lots of drone designs to get so getting a good one would be rare.

 

You do get rewards everytime but ships and drone designs don't come everytime. That's the chance factor most complain about.

 

Don't know what complex you think I have but if trying to be helpful is a complex I guess I do. The fact that D O has NEVER had a rotating award, so the more you do the required task you are guaranteed to get all of them, I do not understand how people figure they will get all of the designs just by doing the required gate for the special reward. It has been proven every time they run the Special Rewards Weekend with the Goliath Surprise Pack active. When the problem was first seen they did assign the replacement 10K award but i can only assume they have decided to stick to their guns about the duplicate ship not being worth anything from these rewards.

ans you ARE able to receive a duplicate design (which should have been something else other than a duplicate)
I spent money on this game and its starting to feel like i've been scammed out of it this seem next to fraud to me as
the statement to entice spending is clearly a lie.

 

Ok, the statement saying that you won't receive any duplicate is a lie... they said is a bug, so we can go on with it and wait for the solution.
But that doesn't mean you'll get what you need faster. You just won't get a duplicate, it's not that hard to understand... it'll will still take a long time till you will receive the Surgeon, for example. Because judging by how Zeta... oh, wait, a better example would be Kappa. Judging by how Kappa works: I have 150 lf4s(no I don't, but we're just saying that I have enough of them) but I need 1 more Hercules design... well what could happen is that I could end up making like 10-15 gates without receiving the Hercules but getting lf4s and multi boosters- which represent the duplicates... that's exactly what's happening with this special rewards gates.

 

You say that "You just won't get a duplicate" but i did 3 times in the from of the vanquisher so i cant comprehend what your talking about,
Kappa gate works completely differently 25% for lf4 25% for herc and 25% for booster i cant see how the to things are the same, That's more to do with luck of the roll than receiving duplicates. Fact of the matter is i received a Duplicate when they clearly stated you cant
which means i'm entitled to the Surgeon goliath and nothing was stated that if you receive a dupe you will get some other form of compensation. Dark Orbit do not have a leg to stand on in this situation... They provided misleading information and lies to entice me into spending money which is just SCAMMING me.

Yes you smart guy. There's a 25% chance to get the Vanquisher, Sovereign, Peacemaker or Surgeon. IF THE BUG WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED SO YOU WOULD NOT GET DUPLICATES(that's what I explained but it's hard for people to understand) then the chance of getting the designs that you already own would turn in a 25%/50%/75% of getting NOTHING and you would be left with a 25% chance of getting the design that you're missing, in this case the Surgeon. Did you understand? It's the last time when I am wasting my time explaining this. I tried doing it on my language forum but the people seem that don't actually WANT to understand, when they actually CAN. All some of you want to do is blaming, blaming and blaming again.
So there's no "rightful" compensation that you can ask for.
L.E.: or a 20% chance in case there's the Centaur design too but I don't know exactly, or whatever the chance it would be... things remain the same.

 

The gates yield a 100% for a design and if you cant get a duplicate i would expect the one they i haven't got as implied by their official post. This is misleading information that caused me to spend and not get the outcome that everyone expected... pretty much a scam

 

Every gate involved in special rewards weekend gives you a 100% chance of something and is not stated otherwise in the Goliath Surprise Pack. Nobody could know different, causing people to waste money on this bs.

 

Ok I see that explanations are a waste of time here too. Go on, cry more. Maybe BP is gonna give you that candy.
