  1. ....and they would have gone forever if BP bothered to take strong action against them a few years back - which wasn't a hard thing to do, but BP didn't want to because botusers give $$ from premium, doubler and rebate...
    and this is why the game is dead.

    The best solution to counter "dead servers" so far. Server merge sounds good to many people but if we think of it more practically, we'll reach to the problem you described. With the game getting more costly, we need to solo cubes to earn faster uridium, more players in the map, much hard it is to cube. Not to forget the war clans.

    The only time we feel the server being dead is when we don't find enough players to fight/kill. There needs to be new battle maps (like 4-x) which could be same for few servers. Adding boxes with special bonus or something else to attract people is needed.
    This way, entire ranking issue is solved and there can be greater pvp battles.
    In fact, these new maps not necessary need to be "battle maps", they could have something better (faster way to earn uri.). So maximum players come. And ofcourse, these maps be still used for PvP.

    About botters, nothing to do. We can't sit and watch servers be dead just cos any update would increase botters in a map. In fact, new maps would highly be for PvP battles, so many botters would avoid it. I believe its better if they remain in x-2 maps than in 4-x.

    Yes, everyone knows this. You are not making any bold statements here.

    However if we are going to try and discuss what we can do to help the game now, what is the point us looking back in the past and saying how much everything is messed up. Doing that helps nobody.

    We all saw it happening, it was like a slow motion crash that we all knew the devs at the time could try to stop but they didn't until it was far too late. We can spend days pointing out where the people who were in charge 4/5 years ago went wrong but it is all pointless now. We don't have a time machine to go back and change it.

    Seems like there is a new event coming as there is a new type of bonus box. It is simply called box_UBA and there's literally no other information about what this event could be besides the name of the box and what it looks like.

    Merging Bmaps of 4 servers seems tricky. Wouldn't BP have to proportionately increase the size of the B-map, increase the amount of pally in a given time, increase the size of the pally field and so on and so on? Seems like a bit of a hassle.

    Yeah the whole thing would have to be reworked as I mentioned in the first post I talked about it. Wouldn't even have to delete the current battlemap set up, could just leave them alone and create a whole new system for the cross-server stuff. No point us putting pointless limits on our own ideas here.

    However I can guarantee a new cross-server battlemap system would be much more beneficial to all players than just a straight up entire server merge. Imagine doing spaceball between 4 servers and having all of that PvP, yet having the option to go back to the solo cubes when you run low on uri. You gain more PvP but don't lose out on the good PvE situation a lot of us have right now.

    The seafight team is going to conduct a merge between their ru1 and ru2 server soon and I imagine the DO dev team are going to take notice of how it works out etc. I just sincerely hope they do not think a complete server of one server to another is the best option, it comes with so many issues. Player's rank which some users will have paid thousands to get and then lost is probably the most obvious one. However a reworked battlemap system that servers connect to would avoid all the rank issues and so on.

    I could write up a whole list of possibilities that have been thought through a fair amount but would probably be pretty pointless to post it right now. Big fights across servers has been something I've been missing greatly since JPB stopped but I suspect we still have to wait another year at least before we hear proper talk about cross-server stuff.

    So "box_UBA" turns out to mean Ultimate Battle Arena.
    "What is this Ultimate Battle Arena?" you might ask ... well it's just TA apparently. In every single file on test1 any time Training Arena or Training Arena Seasons is mentioned, it has been replaced with Ultimate Battle Arena and Ultimate Battle Arena Seasons.

    So what does this mean? Your guess is as good as mine at the moment but it could be that the current T.A is getting a rework into something else and that there will be some event boxes to celebrate it.

  18. Oh my god. Oh my god. I don't care how much it costs I am getting that defcom 0.0 I don't care if I have to rob a bank. Okapi do you know if they will look the same as before or if they'll be altered?
