[SC] What? All one server East 1, East 2, East 3 and West

There is talk that BP is moving all in E 1 E 2 E 3 and W 1 as one and Integrating all USA and so on and so on in to one server How true is this? Suppose to happen this year . Word is that there is not enough players on other servers.

If this happens there is going to be Big Wars happening, damn and not to Mention Rank we are going to lose our rank on top of that..

I can see that it is costing them money to run so many servers... And I can see why this would happen, would be cheaper to cram every US server into one server then for them to be paying for dead servers that have few players... So, yeah I can see this happening soon... Plus, it would make it easier for Mods and Admins to manage chat rooms too.

 

That honestly would be a good change. Not that I play on any of them servers. But I think it would be a good idea.
Although merging all 4 is a big step, maybe take a smaller step first to prevent [removed].

I have visited all those servers, most are dead servers, So I don't think that having all those servers into One is going to over populate one server...

Back in the day All servers were over populated, these days most all servers are dead compared to 3 to 5 years ago, I remember not being able to get off the gate without being shot by a cloaked enemy lying in wait for a noob to get off the gate

There's no talk of Sever Merge, but they are trying to find ways of making sever more packed (they have considered Sever Mergers though)

Yeah, No sense in paying for dead servers, saves money to have more players in one server than to have few players on a dead server.

 

I won't complain, it'll be nice to see some old friends from east 3.

I would not want to lose my rank... and be moved somewhere else and start all over again... Plus can you imagine, big wars will be happening clan wars with all companies, everyone fighting to rule the maps. I like my dead server I hope they don't do this move. I would not be able to pally in peace anymore. BP is always finding ways to stop us from pallying in peace.

 

My only question is if and when they do this, what is the plan for those players, like myself, that are on multiple servers off the same login. Do we keep all of are equipment/ships/designs? Will the credits and uri from the different accounts get combined? And most of all, will you automatically keep the highest level out of them all? Or even combine the exp points also. I know some players who have played way more than I have and hold top 100 ranking on multiple servers. That means a lot of work. What will their exp level be like after a merge.

Rank is not something I am going to worry about. I understand that players have put in a lot of work but rank will line out to be what it is after they answer the questions above. Then we can see what needs to be done to establish order in the new orbit.

I have 3 accounts on one server... but 2 are US server and the other is G 1 server. so I am sure If they do this move I will have my 2 accounts in US moved to the new USA server, and the G 1 will stay in that location where they move them. say Global servers will all be one or 2 servers since they are always busy... Spain and Germany will be reduced as for the slower servers will be move to busy severs. That is what I am thinking they will do in the near future... Slower server will be placed on vacation players from those server will be relocated. Take for Example...

E1 server E 2 server E 3 are slow servers these days... West, is some what slow but has more activity then the E1 E 2 and E 3... I am sure some of those players would be relocated to West or to an entirely new server. There is no sense having a sever that only has 10 to 30 players on it. They are losing money having Dead servers up and running... It is easier for Darko to relocate these players to a new location.... Inactive players accounts would be marked as SPAM and
deleted to make room on the new maps... Damn I am good lol

DO sending these notifications for players that have not play in a while
WHY DID YOU STOP PLAYING DARK ORBIT???... If you don't play for 2 weeks you will get a note like this... This is the indication that a move is about to happen

 

Not sure what you think would be so bad about this. It would be an improvement as there would be more ppl playing at any time. If you are worried about losing your rank, why? More players would mean more of each rank, top user rank is for people that have more dollars than sense or gate hoers.

 

They need to add more maps in general so all the players spread out. I'm betting it would be impossible to cube once the merge happens.

 

this problem can be easily fixed with 2 options, either dark orbit can add more cubes to the map or make a new map with stronger cubes that cant be solo'd

 

Every North American server should be merged....and then there will no more PvE (hahahaha)
