[SC] What is the best way to kill skoll in cold wave gate

Does anyone have any tips on the best way to kill the skoll in the cold wave gate?

 

x4s with diamond on speed config (i have 9 lf4s and the rest shields on drones for my speed config). Did the hard gate within 5 mins.

The way I did it on both hard and easy gates was to hen peck it to death. Using a Venom with X2 ammo and Moth formation and use of the singularity, I made small amounts of hull damage with moth activated and when my shields drained by 1/4 backed off and recharged my shields so that the Skoll would not spawn icy's or use ice rockets also using the singularity and backing off and letting it do the work.

 

take out skoll shield, when the target reticle shows up, back away (it will come out magenta, then became navy, and then disappear) and check minimap, when icy swarm come out, go back to skoll.

his icy spawn behaviour is per shield %, if you don't wipe his shield out and let him recharge, he will keep spawning icy minions, that also depends if you want to farm icys...

if you don't want farm icy then make sure to remove 100% of his shield, his icy spawn behaviour will turn off, and taking away his shields later on (after you clean the icy horde) won't make him spawn icy again. that is kinda nice on skoll really, mostly because i don't have much time avaliable to waste on gates (and they should not take more than 2Hrs to complete....) so skoll is kinda easy really, the SAB and kami's for the cleanup though...

Well u just use x4 and moth him after he spawn 2-3 waves of icys just kami then and go back on skroll thats how i kill him and he will stop after few icy waves and u can pop him easy

Hmm as I free player, I did the Skoll Gate (Hard) around or less than 2 hours by using venom and kami (180 uri per pet repair -_- ) . I killed the Skoll by using singularity on it and firing UBR hellstorms and plt 3030 with precision targeter and x1 only and I've been firing back and fort in order for the skoll not to put a target marker on me which will summon icys which will cost me 3-4x kami. I just continue with this tactic until the Skoll run on the corner I just use singularity on it until it dies.

 

if u use only venom the skoll wont spawn icy... ~25-30 mins with only venom... run venom run venom run venom and so on

 

use moth & venom. skoll spawns icys when its shields go down, so what i do is shoot him for about 15 seconds , using singularity when available, till his shields go down to about 7/8, then back off till mine and his shields have regenerated. takes a while, but u dont have to worry about him spawning loads of icys, so its much easier.

A good example of hen pecking, it's how I do it with a Venom with moth and the singularity and using my shield bar as a timer so I know when to back off and not once had a violet or blue cross hair appear.

kami skoll save skoll icy for last. run far enough away so the icy rocket wont stop u. use full speed config with a few shield on drone. i beat this with around 20 lf3 4 iris and kami 3 in goli. i did use sep on laser for this and some x2-x3 ammo

same way you did bbks as a noob, you circle real wide staying out of skolls range while hammering it with x4 and moth on suicide speed fig.
