I just run into my own Co.s CBS and it was filled with mines. Not decloaking one's mind you, but DD-mo1 and there were many and there were strong. Now I use these bases and want to help. Should I sent them off and help my Co. or let them be.

I in my uninformed opinion is to sent them off they were all around and all through the CBS.
    But i don't know.

  2. Mines are a great way to defend your base while shields are down, but one should make a "door." The main problem with mines around a CBS is the fact that you can't tell everyone that needs to know about the mines beforehand. Players log on a different times and play in various groups, which place them into group chats rather than company chat, or Global chat. This is hard on those players that fly on autopilot, like me , as you jump into a map, and fly like superman to your target location only to find that somebody has all the mine bio, and pow...

Anyways, its best to approach a base with caution. Its up to the base owner to decide how to place the mines. If they want help, they will try to warn the rest of the company.

  3. Mines are decent when you are outnumbered, put them on the base when enemy come in numbers, you'll pop them all in no time with drill, if you have 5 people ont he base, 3 ddm 2 sab mine and all shoot different targets, you get loads of kills ;)

or if you are greedy, tell everyone to drop a DDM mine and you drop a smart bomb aswell, nick all the kills :D

  4. If you're that person who doesn't know about the mines, approach bases cautiously and if you see even one near is you can guess more will follow. Most cbs have an opening in the top so members can go in and out unaffected. Don't go destroying mines as even some alliances will shoot you for that as you are killing their defenses partially. If you're a defender inside the base already lay the mines close but not close enough that you move ton a module and set off two. That's just counterproductive. Something I do is set emp mines closest to core of base and ddms or sabms further away so if you hit a mine you don't damage each other its also generally betters because setting emp mines further out is usually pointless. Also you can hope enemies blindly rush I to your mines or hit a few in a fight, but the best way is to hit insta shield then run into up to 5 ddms or sab mines so you take no damage but your enemy takes severe damage. Make sure no friendlies are around first. No sense in killing enemies if you're doing the same damage they would otherwise. Also always try to have at least 1 aegis and citadel on base when defending. Aegis to heal defenders or the citadel, citadel to take heavy damage when the aegis just isn't enough.

  5. You need to be cautious entering CBS's as the mines could be set by the CLAN who owns the station for protection (their members know they are there and hope to get enemies attacking the base, a WARRING clan may have set them to attack the other clan members, or an enemy CLOAKER set them to destroy players in and around the Base. As there is different reasons for the mines being there IF a clan member (of the CBS's Clan) is on ask them if they set them or know about them before clearing them. If they do not know don't touch them but try to find out before destroying them. When I was in a clan we were attacked and you hit 2 DDM mines and you went back to the repair station as you went POP, these were set by a solo enemy attacker trying to clear the base of defenders so he could take out the base.
