I searched for a while for a thread which would advise players about the best ways of spending their hard earned uridium, but found nothing, obviously its not an easy thing to do, so im here with my situation asking for help.

Ive pretty much finished building alpha beta and gamma, which would grant me around 140k uri if im correct, but that doesnt really matter... Anyways

    My current situation:
17 B02 - since using more than 16 happens very rarely i think its best to just wait on getting these from booty keys
    31 LF3 - yeah..
8 irises - lvl 7 on all of them
    7 PP
Auto res (3) and auto looter (1) on p.e.t

What i need help on is what to do next, continue upgrading my drones and then continue to shields etc etc (upgrading lf3s i find not worth it), or go for booty boxes, or just spend it all on pp to max out my bio? Or buy something such as a drone design (diamond perhaps)?

    Thanks in advance - Fidycent

I would work on your PP for now as your gear is good. i would not bother with the upgrades there a waste of uri for the little bounse you get from it. Save the uri you do get for Booty boxs on lf4 day. Keep playing with a clan or group and see if you can do a clan hunt. A good group of FE's can bring down 1 UFE.

    Good luck

    Hi Fidycent
It depends ( and gratz on all your shields, lasers and upgrades btw - nice one :) )
Are you a premium or free player? If you are premium, get your PET lvl3 kami immediately, you will find it indispensible for gate bashing. Also Enemy Locator, you will find doing PvE missions much easier - I would augment this with more slots on the PET for radar protocols, not only for nme locator range, but for boxing and palli, and if you haven't already got it, Resource Collector (palli = spins = gates and ammo etc).
That's what I suggest. It's a good investment, and will earn you enough uri for PP.

Even if you are a free player, I suggest all the above, with perhaps exception of kami. Instead of which, continue to upgrade your drones for those much needed shield and dmg bonuses. Like Bio, these investments will beef up your core abilities for good.

    Have fun!

  5. There are many ideas or opinions on what someone should do. From the beginning new players don't really understand what to do, how to do things or what to look for. Many probably wont waste time on forum gossip. First and foremost, you need to have a plan(and based on how serious of a player you want to be), that plan is to work on equipment, drones, speed gens, shields, etc. Most definitely one needs to build Skylab asap- you need the resources from it (Promerium and Seprom), upgrades are worth every bit of the effort...Take for example the Rocket Launcher, I immediately did upgrade to 16 because the rockets do constant damage and with Pilot Points used wisely, it all comes into play. It takes a lot of work to build yourself up, there will be many days of frustrations, but the game is enjoyable and should be fun for us all. Absolutely do upgrades where they are needed-Shields, Drones, Rocket Launcher-and don't waste time with the upgrade %...do 100% upgrade.
Once you have or begin to get LF4's gradually upgrade those as well. Formations are costly but effective when u need them. Again, having a game plan from the start will take you a long ways. Finding a decent clan isn't that easy, FIND one that suites your needs, find one that you fit well with. When you do find that clan, stick with it. These are my opinions, and certainly not telling anyone what to do how how to play, this is through my own experience with the game and the information shared to me by great clan members. It all takes time to build, don't rush.

  6. Spend every bit of uridium you get into booty keys and open them during special golden bootybox days. This way you will get Apis, Zeus and LF4 at the same time. Forget about upgrading drones before you have Apis, Zeus and good amount of LF4. Why?

A single drone at level 16 will increase your damage by 18 points if you have LF3 in drones and that will cost you 104,250u (150*2 = drone damage with 2 LF3 = 300, drone at level 16 will increase that into 318)
8 drones at level 16 will increase your damage by only 144 and it will cost you 834,000u.
Upgrading drones at early stage of the game is not worth it at all, I am sorry. Anyone who claims otherwise has not studied the game enough.

Now, if you use that 834,000u into keys you can open 556 chests. If you open 300 of them during 3x LF4 event and the rest in Zeus-day you are going to probably get 5 LF4, ~10 Zeus parts and a full Apis drone.
    2 LF4 to Apis = 400dmg
    3 LF4 replacing LF3 = 150dmg

So if you are thinking about upgrading your drones to level 16 think again, your damage will only rise by 144 compared to the 550 from booty keys :p

    What you should do:
    - Stop upgrading and do not buy any log-disks.
    - Use any extra-energy you get into Zeta-gate, no Kappa! Why? From Zeta you will get 50 log disks each and when you keep playing like you do you will eventually have 30PP without even noticing it. You also get 25 keys which are worth 37,5k uri. Every Zeta gives you 100k worth of stuff. Spending uri on them is not recommended.
    - Spend all the uri into keys and open them during 3x LF4 day or Zeus day, never on Apis day!!
    - Do not buy Apis, collect all 45 parts for it. That way it will be much cheaper.
    - After you have 20 parts in Zeus, start saving uridium and buy it. After this use keys only during 3x LF4 day.
    - After you have 20 LF4 start Doing Kappa gate if you feel like getting Hercs, if not then just keep collecting LF4.
    - At this point you can start upgrading your drones and shields if you feel like it.
    - Do not upgrade LF4 before you have 35, it is waste of uri. Not going to explain why but if says otherwise I can proove it with math.
    - After getting 35th LF4 start upgrading them.

This is how I became UFE without using money in under 2 years from having 31LF3 and no Apis or Zeus

Priceless. Such a great advice, I just wanted to ask the same questions as the OP did. I am almost on the stats he stated above, so in the near future had in mind to ask the same things.

But this post, is priceless. Thank you so much, I will save this post in notepad and read it every time I want to do something in the game.

    Thank you!

PS. Please, if you think of some extra advice, share with us :)
PPS. There you go, saved with a nice title :p

Thanks! This is exactly what i was looking for, how about upgrading the hellstorm, is that not worth doing either?

  9. Think of it this way - if you deal 10k damage with ecos, a lvl 16 rocket launcher will cost ya 104k uri as stated above, but will only increase your damage by 600...so as far as I'm concerned neither I nor Darkomaani or anyone else who knows what they're talking think it's worth it at such an early stage

  10. Well... 600 extra damage every 12 secs (reload time of hellstorms) means your damage per second will rise by 30. I don't think that it is worth it when you can probably get a brand new LF4 with the same price.

@Darkomaani. is it good to jump straight in Zeta gate? :) I have not done any gate (it's kinda too early too for now, but when the time comes) and I thought to not do any Alpha, Beta or Gamma gate as I think the best rewards are in Zeta. Advice?

  12. Well I think so, since 30 logdisks = 9k uri and 25keys = 37,5k uri. Gate reward is 35k u and you get 15k from aliens so you get 100k uri worth of stuff every time you complete it. Just google the gate and look at what aliens will be there, and then think that can you beat them :p I recommend also to watch gate videos from youtube so you will know what to expect. And remember to keep upgrading your Skylab to get seprom as fast as you can. Gates are easier when you have enough for the whole gate.

Perfectly understood, thank you! Skylab is on level 10 for now. Managed to seprom my shields and upgrade my speed engines. Trying to produce seprom for rockets now. :)

  14. Never buy pilot points. It is a legit waste of your uri.

Damage adds up in fun fun ways in this game

No offense but what the..? Buying booty straight up is the worst possible thing to do for a noob. Zeta and nothing else, right next to drone formations then drone upgrades. Booty aren't 100% chance anything. Know what are though? Drone upgrades and formations. 800k uri? If you're gonna go that way you deserve to lose that 400k extra uri.

To max 10 drones is 500k or so, 8 iris 400k or so. Even if you can't afford rebate and or premium upgrade hour is STILL there reducing the cost to 600k or so. And you knows what's best about it? You KNOW you're gonna get something.

Don't take unnecessary chances. I recently spent 714 booty keys between the last two helix events and got two LF-4, no designs. On another account 360~ and 1 LF-4 again no designs, and another 175 and no LF-4 and lightning. Sure, the first day the event came out I got 2 LF-4 out of 65 keys but that's luck. Don't play that game until you have a fallback.

  15. If I may give my advice here too: stick to zetas till you get all the havocs and then go for kappas...some people would go for kappas first saying they get lf4s and hercs(which are indeed nice) but in all honesty zeta is by far superior as the gate to be done first for pretty much every FE player

  16. as Darkomaani said zeta is the best for ppl who try to build ship and yep zeta gives u the best rewards to build ur ship as keys log disk and hovac so u can work on pp and save keys and use them in 3x lf4 day

  17. Yup zeta ftw

Don't forget Zeus day, Zeus adds 330 damage with LF-3 and you get Apis along the way. Zeus and Apis add 600 damage total base with LF-3

  18. Yeap formations true. They are worth it. And yea, I did not mention upgrade hour, that makes the price smaller. But even if it would take only 50k uridium to get a drone to level 16 according to every probability LF4 will increase damage faster. And with bigger damage it is faster to farm uridium for drone upgrades later. Sorry to hear that you have been so unlucky, but most people are getting much better results from them. Taking small risks is much funnier than going always the safest way :p

Agreed Foojub, buying booty is fraught with failure. In fact I could scarcely believe this advice was given. OP still has not said whether they are prem or free. If you are free, you don't just instantly get like 500k uri in credit. You really have to slog, and the weaker your core eqpt levels, the longer it'll take. Course, if you have 500k uri just sitting around waiting to be thrown away as a bad bet, then you can probably afford to do upgrades and gates and booty at the drop of the hat.

radar and resource collector in opened slots and palli palli palli. Free ammo, free gates, free uri. and 100% chance.

    best,
