[SC] What to spend uri on?

Hi fellow forum members

I could use some guidance on what I should spend the uri I have collected on, which is ~230k so far.

First a little info about my ship:
I have all the FE stuff, Apis, P.E.T, 7 LF-4, 26 PP and 6 havocs. My drones and HL are upgraded to level 4 but that is also the only things I have upgraded.

I had plans of buying a few hundred thousand uridium at a MHH (or helix/blitz sale if that is around anytime soon? ) which I would then use on upgrading my equipment.
But should I go all-in and also use my 230k for upgrading?

Or should I instead use them on opening zeta's (Open some of it with palla and some of it with the uri) and try to get the last 3 havocs I need for the 10% bonus (which would be really nice xD)?
Even if I don't get havocs, I still get logfiles for more PP's and booty keys which I could use on a helix LF-4 day to (hopefully) receive some more LF-4's.

So I'm pretty much just looking for how to get the most out of my uri

 

I'm sure most people would disagree with me, but I strongly feel that spending uri on certain galaxy gates (and especially zeta) is something worth doing - the gate reward is in the 100k uri+ range, not to mention all the ammo you get just by building it, and this is something I did and it worked really well for me as a completely free player

Other than that seeing as you don't have a zeus drone I'd recommend saving some keys for a zeus day and once your zeus is within 20-24 or so parts you'd be better off buying it directly from that point (having all 10 drones is a major step towards becoming UFE imo)

Upgrading items isn't that crucial at all, it costs A LOT just to get a very small bonus so I'd rather not spend everything on that - if you want to just upgrade drones and rocket launcher and leave the rest for later

I've also wanted to get the Zeus drone, but I wasn't sure whether to spend my keys on drone parts or LF-4's (as in LF-4 day). I currently have 4 zeus parts, how many keys would you estimate that i would need for these 20-24 parts?

And you are right, I just found the total level 16 price and it does cost a LOT xD So for now I'll only upgrade my drones and HL like you suggested. But what is the best way to upgrade? Should I go with chance or just choose 100%?

 

Eh well it's all down to luck at the end of the day, but I'd say most people need a total of about 600-700 keys to get that many zeus parts - of course it might take you a lot fewer or more but as a general estimate I think that's pretty close

As for upgrades I'm not really the right person you should ask this question since I don't really upgrade much myself but seeing what most people do is upgrade at 75-85% normally or 100% during upgrade hour (this is because it only lasts a single hour and you cannot risk failing upgrades); if you can, make sure to buy rebate and once you've gathered say 400-500k uri or so do them during upgrade hour so you get 55% (I may be mistaken here) off their regular price

You might find that most people dislike upgrading with anything less than 100% certainty because of the chance factor, and after all, DO has been proven to make players question the percentages they state for given things (galaxy gates, upgrades, booty rewards etc) xD

 

Im pretty sure you need to have all 10 drones (8 iris+apis+zeus) with 10 havoc desighns to be able to get the 10% dmg bonus. Someone correct me if im wrong?? So yer zeus is a must in my opinion, then get all 10 havocs, then you start the long road to full lf4, and then upgrades. I am leaving hercs till very last, even after iv fully kitted my pet out fully with lvl16 lf4s and sheilds. Personal preferance, as i dont use the hercs i have got. Cheers

 

Wait for the Upgrade Bonus Hour (UBH Fridays 7PM server time when they have it) and buy Premium and Rebate (total discount is 47.5%) and then upgrade at 100% chance to guarantee the expenditure is worth it.

As far as the Uridium you have now as stated build Gates as you do get more in return and it does give items for the UFE status.

My friends have found (even on Zeus days) they get more Apis parts than Zeus parts as they built their Apis drone as soon as they had the parts (instead of waiting to build both at one time) and currently have a second Apis 50% available with only 3-6 Zeus parts and have gone through over 1000 keys and got crud for them (all kinds of ammo and FE equipment but no Zeus/LF-4 to speak of.

You are correct the Bonus is for the entire set of 10 drones the Halloween bonus was the exception (ALL drones owned have to be equipped) for the bonus.

My opinion is forget about the booty boxes (buying keys) do the gates get the herc's, havoc's, and LF-4's from chance rewards, save the booty keys for Zeus day and then see what happens when collecting the booty (also check which map seems to be hot that day) everyone starts claiming they are getting the major prizes (because my friends and I seem to always be in the cold maps) the LF-4's we have collected were on regular days and were very much just by luck, when we bought the Ultra (red and blue) keys we got ammo only, Gold boxes were ammo and Elite items (LF-3, BO-2) and Zeus/LF-4 days was the above and Apis parts. Upgrade on Bonus Hour (used to be every other Friday at 7PM server time but that changed over the holidays) The last one posted in the Calendar was January 1, so I don't know if they are having them and not posting them, but I lost track if them when I logged in when they were supposed to have it and it was not happening. If you are buying Uridium on MHH then I would recommend upgrading all of your BO-2's, Lf-4's, Drones, and Rocket Launchers during the UBH and restart as many times as possible before discount goes away (it is the start of the upgrade not the finish that matters) and again it is a 47.5% discount as the UBH does not stack but comes off after other discounts are taken.

I've decided to only upgrade drones for now and then focus on opening zetas and getting Zeus parts with the booty keys I receive as reward. I'm going to buy uri on the next MHH this weekend since there will be premium + rebate membership bonuses on the uridium packages, so that will save me a lot of uri

As far as the drone design bonuses go, I've always been told that you only need to have the design on ALL your drones, not that you actually also need 10 drones. I've also just searched around and only found mentions of that you just need them equipped on all the drones you own to get the bonus...

 

If you go to the calendar in the forums you will see when zeus/lf-4 days come out. helps a lot so you know when to buys keys.

 

Tbh your gonna need another 2000 keys give or take a few 100 for your Zeus Drone and the rest of your LF-4's.
Continue to Spam Zeta's until you get a full set of Havocs. Use keys from gate rewards on Zeus Apis and LF-4
day.(It would seem that you need to BUILD ANOTHER APIS DRONE to get better odds for a Ship Design, Zeus
part or LF-4) Use the Log disk from the GG materializer and gate rewards to build up your Pilot Bio.

*TIP* NEW PLAYERS it could be advantageous to hold off on building Apis once you get all the parts to get
better odds from booty keys for UFE equipment without building Apis twice.

Now that we have FLASH SALES along with premium rebate and GG REBATE. If you timed it right you could
use the saved up uri from gates to get even more keys to do even more gates (Personally built 4 zetas in one
day, now if DO could just do something about those percentages)

Now ,all you have to do is repeat steps to get full Herc's with a bit of luck by the time you get your last Herc
you'll have Ship Designs, pet, techs, 35 to 40 pp and have all UFE equip

 

Hi again, and thank you everyone for you advice.

After doing a total of 21 zeta gates I now have 11 havocs. At the same time I've earned 2 pilot points and 302 BK's which I'll use on the next zeus day to get some zeus parts and hopefully at least one LF-4

Now, to get more LF-4's which gate would be the best one to do? And are the chances for an LF-4 25% in both Epsilon, Kappa and Hades? Would Kappa be the best to do since I would have a chance to get both an LF-4 or hercules, even though it is more expensive to build than the other two gates?

 

Unless you have a group you play with all the time I would stay away from the Hades as these take too long to complete as you have to have a group to do them. I think the Kappa would be the best to build now as the rewards are decent and you have other items for the chance reward and Epsilon is only chance for LF-4 and I do not know what the chance ratio is.

 

Nice, once you start doing kappa's don't get discouraged you will hit dry spells you just have to push through it. For most
of us It took about 30 to 40 kappa's to get a full set of Herc's If your lucky you'll have a nice cache of LF-4's and at times
being triple boosted is ok
