[SC] WHAT WAS THAT?

Hi All,

Well, I saw something new. Well, at least to me.

There was a ship in my home sector as I popped in to start my day USA East Coast. It was a gray ship with two pinchers and a rectangle back body. The next thing I know the jaws open up. I notice what look like 4 drones popping out, arms came out the side that was behind the jaws. They raised up and was over the jaws. Well, I should say the drones were being deployed. I don't know if the arms were extra laser ports or rockets launcher. The drones could have been small ships. Then the jaws popped back in and all was gone. This happen over and over again like being recycle. I would like to see it in action, and see what it does.

Does anybody know what class of ship that was, or have any info on it. I own a lot of ships but nothing like that. It looked really cool, and vicious when the jaws were open.

Did it look like the new Centurion ship?

 

Hi All,

No it wasn't a Centurion ship. Think Sentinel claws with Pusat body. The claws came out straight and open like pinchers or needle nose pliers. Or think "U" but the bottom is flat against the ship's body. I only had a side rear look at it so I don't know what the front looked like. When it was open, 4 ship/drones came out of its mouth/hanger. Two at the tip of the jaws and two by the hanger. The ship/drones looked like first level drones. The ships/drones didn't go pass the arms when they were deployed. Maybe in battle they might I don't know.

There were side arms behind the pinchers they rose and came out too. Like in the movie Karate Kid 2 the crane movement of the arms. Then it popped back together everything disappearing. It would recycle opening and closing its jaws over and over again, ships come out, secondary arms rose, then everything pop closed all was gone. As I said it was gray in color with black lines showing different levels on the rectangle back body.

It looked really cool to me. I don't know what it is or how it works. I was hoping the forum knew. To me it is a new kind of ship. It was the very first time I saw that type of ship in the game. I have been here for a few years. I have 57 ships a lot of them are the same class, but nothing like this one. It isn't in the shop either so I can't find it. To tell you more information or even give you a name.

Hi All,

That wasn't an option. First he was a company man, and I don't fight my onw company unless they attacks me. Second he was in our home base which there isn't any fighting. When I got back from doing other things with my ship he was gone. To bad we can't board another ship and capture it like back when pirates sail the seas.

Hey DO, that's an idea. Just before a kill, you could have an option to capture it and claim it for your own if you don't have one in your hanger. You get his ship or a copy of one in you inventory.

By the way, did you encounter it on the normal servers?

No it wasn't a Nyx's Ship either. The front was "U" shape like two claws coming out of the body of the main ship's body. They open and closed like plyers.

It almost had a Goliath design, but there wasn't any little wings on the side of the out arms, and not curved in. Yes, I know what a Goliath is because I own 9 of them. This ship wasn't anyway like this ship except it had claws or arms coming out its body.

Next time instead of trying to describe it to players maybe try and take a screen shot instead, also there are post's in the forums that show all the new ships maybe look there and see if you see the ship instead and if it's not there it's probably a new npc you never seen before.

 

HI TIC,

I did looked there. I have a ship list save in Favorites. It maybe old and out of date, but it isn't there. Plus if I knew how to screen shot I would have. I'm not a tech smart kind of guy. I do the best as I can. This is the web page I have of different ships.
