  1. This is getting better. Last night I was on my main reviewing all missions, both completed and to be done and got the shakes. There is one nostro and one big boy kill mission. At least it is just one each. It explains why one player has targeted me so many times in a row, overlooking other players at the same time. Some enemies send me whispers asking where my "other" ship is. Its too funny. Nothing like knowing the enemy knows what I am running and hurried to get a mission based on that fact.

Anyways, I have started the refineries which help and hurt in the credit department. The ore sells for more but the upgrades cost a pretty uri as well. I am up to 6 drones, and have all my lasers, shields, and speed gens. Sibs is the my best thing to do at this point while alone, which is most of the time, and I find if I push it, I can get a big lord. I sweat with them, a lot. Sometimes I team up with other noob players and we clear some npc, but my real life puts me too back and forth to stick with most of them. They are doing good though and getting stronger, as I meet other newcomers to help track.

    I like this gig....

  2. D O has always been FUN, as long as you are not being cannon fodder. What made it NOT fun was when we started seeing we were more cannon fodder than we wanted to be and unable to achieve the goals we set out to accomplish that day (in game).

  3. OK, I know what is going to be said already but I am putting it out there. I just read that some of the latest of Dark Orbit Revealed. Okapi mentioned more frost ships, including the Frost Ambassador. I am just saying, if it comes out, I am getting it, don't care about the cost. I said it... I will do it... Bash away....

LOL, this account will always be cannon fodder. I just plan to have fun with it anyways. You stay more grounded to the game at this level. As players get stronger, the ego's tend to get bigger and out of hand. When you know you are at the bottom of the food chain, you just wait for death to come. Meanwhile, you move on with life because impending death is too much to worry about.

  4. Well that would be true for your account as you do not plan on getting it UFE let alone FE. What makes it frustrating is when you have done everything to become FE and find out now you have to become UFE and are basically starting over and have to change everything you have done to this point to get to UFE status. I have not BOXED since the first year of playing and now I am finding the only way to get UFE is BOX (hoping to not get swept up in the anti-BOT system) and forget about doing any quests because you can not finish them in a week because of the UFE hunters popping you every time you get a target close to death (level 20 quests suck solo).

  5. Yes, level 20 quest do suck solo, and even in groups. I just made level 21 on my main and its another reason why I thought to go ahead with my NOOB project. I don't box.... Its like pulling hair out of your skin but less fun. I am hoping the missions actually don't get revamped next year as I plan to spend a lot of time on my main doing pally and gates. UFE is the ultimate goal of the game, but its not a requirement. You don't have to be UFE to pop a UFE. And you don't have to be UFE to have fun. I see just as many UFE belly aching in chat as I see non-FE...

pallying is also a way. There are also other ways to get energy. Quests are pointless other than the epic.

  7. Yes but most of the UFE belly aching is because they can not find the easy kills and the fact their quests suck as they have to kill so many players to complete them (thus the double edged sword) they can't find any players in the maps because the players are tired of being popped all the time and when they do find a player in the maps they pop them every time they see them so they quit the game.
Pally is fine till you have your own company help the enemy kill you, which is why I stopped doing Pally. Pet boxing while I do quest usually gets me several EE except when I have to be in 4-5 killing ubers all day or in Pirate maps killing them for quests. Keep asking for help killing UBK's and only get noobs who die if I have to pull away because I am almost dead being hit by the UBK all the time, or have to PvP (which I am bad at getting lock on) and usually get killed instead of killing.

Why not just not be in a clan? Tbh they're more trouble than they're worth. How about spaceball? Boxing requires you already have all the gear, bio, and doubler. Too much of an investment at the start.

  9. Such is the hard life of the UFE. They have already done everything else so they are bored. Once at that point, there is not much to do, which is why they come out in droves during events. "I can do something. WOO HOO!" Just drives me and other players batty. Don't let them get you down though. They are just trying to figure out what they can do.

  10. I never said I was in a clan, but the clan I am in is me and a friend, I don't see him in the maps as our schedule is polar opposite. Spaceball seems to be another form of being fodder for the UFE so I don't so it either. I stopped spending on the game except the Premium which I bought a years worth when I bought it.
You are right they are bored, but why not take their boredom out on people in the upper maps and stay out of the Home/lower maps or stay in the Battle Maps if they have to fight the noobs.

People can still war you clan and you kinda implied you were in a clan. Spaceball seems profitable. I use spearhead all speed gens, prom speed boost, wheel, and pet. It's very easy to make a lot of GG that way. In fact lasers and shields are not needed. Just speed and cloak.

  12. If I was being warred it would show up in the clan information, I have never been warred as I do not cause issues in the game, it is just multi company clans who fly together and allow the enemy to start the fight and then help them to get the kill. This practice needs to be looked into further and these players need to receive the negative honor for helping destroy a FRIENDLY ship whether they have the red lock or not, if I am not returning fire to the friendly then the friendly should be getting the warning and negative honor for firing on me.

I am not going to change configs just to pally, besides what do you do when the NPC's start attacking you? The Annihilator does some pretty strong damage when they lock you and don't give up easily once they start.

For pally i use an aegis with battle config and run config. Same as I would use on npcs. If annihilator attacks, you drag and shoot back at it. I agree that the friendly fire is a problem. I've switched from mainly pallying to mainly sbing since its freakin 10 energies per box even with salvage protocol and bio upgrades and box doubler. That's equivalent to 150 pallies although I'd rather pally than box except during event boxes since i'm f2p. Usually a 3hr spaceball game gives anywhere from 200-300 energy.

  14. Bored players are likely to do anything.

<--- For the record, this is my noob account name and spelling. I just found I was able to pop a sib in a bigboy with 8 LF2, and 8 BO1. A person would have to wonder why people fly so fast to the vengi, and goli. I shall see how far I can go with my two credit ships. I have found that I do need some assistance with BK on my nostro that has 15 LF2, but I have also been shooting with naked x-1. As I normally don't use uri lasers on my other account except for ubers, and stinking cubes, I shall keep trying. Maybe once my skylab is more built up the BK will start melting easier.

  15. You have always been able to kill an NPC with the smaller ships (even a Phoenix) IF you were patient enough or lucky enough to not get attacked by an enemy player, saw a FE P-nut being protected by a FE Goli killing a Boss Sibelon once and I had to watch the progress (of course I was killing the trash that accumulated for the guy) but he did eventually get the kill. Those were the days when you could rely on getting help from others to make the game FUN instead of super stressful trying to get something done without being attacked by a 2 shot killer.

  16. So true, just finished with a bk that had no hp. It still took 20 minutes to get past the shields though. Some of these things can put you to sleep while you hope you don't pop. More players are offering to help me out by the day. Probably because I chat. Or they take pity on my credit ships. Either way, ts nice cruising around.

  17. I think it might be taking pity on you, as you are so puny and taking on something so strong. I on the other hand would pop you as I am MMO and you are VRU but it would be a noob on noob as I have no bio yet.

  18. So much for being a FREE 2 Play account so bash bash bash LOL

  19. I pop 2 or 3 times daily, mmo, eic, or errant vru. Found the cost for popping and just picking up where I left off is actually cheaper than running in an uri ship non-prem. This was something I worried about at the beginning but now I just keep playing.

    drone damage isn't expensive
