I think that you should take the religious part out of this and make religion allowed, why? Well, first off, if you're trying to not be offensive, then grouping in religion with "p***ographic or other objectionable matter" isn't exactly the best way to do that.

Honestly, this sort of thing interferes with American freedom a lot more than you think, what's the point of having freedom of religion if private companies like bigpoint can just ban religion themselves? I've seen quite a few sites where religion wasn't allowed lately, and it makes me wonder, if religion is banned in enough places, then the government won't have to ban religion, it can just wait for people to get offended enough by it and then have THEM ban it.

Maybe resturaunts and stuff can ban religion too, then after most of the US bans it in a few decades, religious freedom will be gone, it wouldn't surprise me. If mods can use their authority in DO to say you can't be religious, then what's stopping some resturaunt (Which is also a private buisness if I'm not mistaken), from hearing someone talk about religion, then call the police on them to escort them out? That would literally mean that if you talked about religion, police would be able to escort you out of places and/or maybe even arrest you.

My point is, it's a very fine line between a few companies forbidding religion, and most of the country having "no religion" being enforced by police.

And people, I'd like to point out that just for simply saying this, I'm probably gonna get warned and/or banned from at least the forum, simply for standing up for freedom and what I believe in, if I do, THAT'S something worthy of being offended about, and even I would agree with you about that. By warning or banning me for this post, they're saying that Christianity, the worship of GOD, is so offensive that those who talk about it should be punished.

  2. So you deliberately went through the terms and conditions to find something to be offended about?

Nah, I talked about religion in some other game and got banned over it I think, then went to this game and heard it's not allowed here either, and so THEN I went through the terms and conditions. It's not just about being offended either, it's about freedom.

  4. Some might use it for good but most would try to insult. Look at it like you were BP better to nip it in the butt before anything gets ugly then leave it to a community that proven if given a chance to fail its going to.

  5. They have a reason to say no religion so people wont start trying to kill each other and getting personal, same thing with politics that's why people dont talk about it even in TS cause folks get huffy about differences not even 1 minutes into such a conversation.

I don't care if people get people mad at them who will never even meet them probably anyway, they can cause fights in real life anyway if they're like that. There are all kinds of creeps online with all kinds of reasons to threaten people in real life, why single out religion? People trying to kill eachother is why you shouldn't give your personal info online. And even if that wasn't the case, you should make the rule "No flame wars". not "No religion"

Honestly, freedom of religion is too important to neglect like this simply so people won't be annoyed by text on a screen. Can't people tell that the cause of no flame wars just isn't important enough to warrant doing something has horrible has banning religion?

If the whole "banning religion so people won't threaten others" thing is this important to everyone online, where you'll never even meet them, imagine how much more paranoid people will be in real life, where they actually HAVE met.

My point is your exact arguments I believe could be used even more practically to ban religion in real life than on the internet, people could say it causes fights, and bam, religious freedom pretty much goes away.

Lmao it's a game. We don't need to know anything about your religion. Looks like you are just out to get offended, don't need to bang on about "muh american freedom" either, you're not the only country in the world.

If you have a problem with no religious discussions in chat then maybe you should look else where to discuss religion and don't do it in a game which has nothing to do with it.

That's my point, it's freedom of religion, it shouldn't be up to anyone else where I discuss it. If I want to put orange traffic cones on my car, climb on top of it, and start preaching while wearing a clown costume, that should be my right. lol

Yet again, another argument that there's no reason people in the real world couldn't use it to ban religion in real life, how am I wrong?

This is how all our freedoms are gonna go down the toilet, the government won't have to get rid of it forcefully, we'll just stop caring about freedom because we want to get back to our video games and stuff.

IT IS A GAME. NOBODY wants to hear about real crap, and then again if they do there are OTHER METHODS in doing this. We don't need people spamming religious hate crap like a certain clan on east 1 did JUST YESTERDAY. I myself am an atheist, I don't hate or love any religion, but I also don't need global chat becoming a religious hmu, or a huge discussion about who "really caused 9/11", or who "hates homosexuals and transgender people the most". Keep that to Facebook or such, but i'm here for a game.

    Hello,

Subjects like religion and politics tend to get very heated, very quickly. Personally, I have seen time and time again where conversations here (namely in chat) drag religion into it and it quickly deteriorates into (but not limited to) offensive language, racism, and even threats.

No one is saying you cannot practice your religion or beliefs, or taking away your personal freedoms. This is a game, and games are supposed to be fun. Outside of whatever legalities have to be met for the game to continue, there is not a podium for government or otherwise here. It is simply asked we maintain a particular decorum and contain the subject matter to appropriate ones for the game; this isn't the place to decide who might be the best for parliament, president, or pope. We already have three companies and clans, we don't need to split and war each other because we stand with the left or the right on any particular matter too.

There are users from all over the world with different cultures and beliefs. None of them should be harassed or singled out for that, and it happens all to often as is.

So I would say again, this is a game. For all our dramas and all else, games are supposed to be fun. We want a fun and safe environment for our all members of our community. That means we're going to ask that we steer clear from certain subject matters so we can stick to what hooked us here - some little bit of fun ;)

The Terms & Conditions are there and we all say we have read & agree to them to get this far (whether or not everyone actually does read them is another matter ). If you do not agree with them, you aren't forced to do so - just understand that when not accepting updated T&Cs is generally the end of the road as it were. Communities cannot be split with half forced to follow new rules and half following old.

On that note, I am going to close this thread. This isn't the place to take a stand about religion, beliefs or whether or not personal freedoms are being collectively taken away. If you feel the need to contest the T&Cs further or just want further clarification in this instance, I would recommend doing so with support.

    Regards,
