Scam Attempt

Hello Space Pilots,

It has come to our attention a new attempt to scam players and gain personal information has come to surface yet again. This is to inform you of the latest attempt is a fake moderator applications/proposal.

We would never randomly send out emails to players requesting personal information from a non-bigpoint email address, nor do we randomly by direct contact, recruit moderators via email or other social media. If you wish to apply for a moderator position, our application procedure is posted here in forums under Official Newsletter.

The following is a sample of the scam email that has surfaced:

Hello,

We've contacted you through our Bigpoint Support team, We've have mailed you to notify you for more safety with your accounts and Administrator Application. In this process. Your accounts will be Link to a 'Security System' of darkorbit, meaning your IP ADDRESS can only access the account, You will have to confirm others IP's by checking your mail. You can also view who have tried to log into your account by any device. In order for us to Protect your account and apply you for moderator.

Please provide us with the following information required. The information you provide will be use to apply you for this operation this is a serious Notice. Your account(s). will be return to the New valid e.mail, and protected within no time. Application will be confirm within 24 Hours time,

Thank you. Please don't hesitate to contact us. All Accounts will be place back unto the e.mail YOU provided.

Past experience as a moderator in other forums or chats is an added bonus, but is not a requirement. We're a friendly and well-organized team which greets newcomers with open arms. Whether you'd like to work in the Forum or the Chat is up to you! Here's a small run-down of the duties that await you:

Your responsibilities as a Chat Administrator:

- You enforce the Chat rules
- You read what is written in the Chat
- You are the external representative for the team
- You provide help in the Chat or refer users to the Forum
- You play an active part in developing new ideas for BSGO
- You moderate the Chat to the best of your ability and knowledge
- If necessary, you also reprimand and/or warn users

A high level of activity in the game and an extraordinary amount of Chat/Forum entries by you are of course the best way to apply. But in order for us to get a better picture of you, we'd be more than happy to receive a short resume from you by e-mail including the following information:
