So because this is as expensive as a Goliath, it's a good idea? I think that makes it the opposite of a good idea.

It is a good idea despite the price, the cost makes it balanced.

It isn't balanced either way lol.

The laser gun I am proposing looks in appearance to the MP-1 but it does the following things:

It deals up to 100 dmg.
In low hp ship* it gains x2 dmg boost and another x2 boost against NPC's in the upper maps.
The suggested price for this item would be 15K Uri.

    * with 160K hp or less.
The guns will be restricted to only what the ships hold without drone assistance.

"It is balanced on several levels."

Well it wouldn't be worth anything if it only worked on some Npc's. The problem with the idea is not only the price though, why would someone be in a credit ship in uppers sporting these lasers for Npc's, it seems counter productive when they could get Lf3's cheaper, have them and a uridium ship and have double the lasers.

    Read that :).

I understand, but even all Uri ships don't have the same number of guns.
    This idea helps them too.

  9. May i ask, why do you keep on making those threads and supporting those ideas that noone(yes, less than 50% isn't majority, hence noone) seems to like, or support? (like/support are two different things).

Hunt with MP1's if you want cannons that make the game more interesting, can this thread be closed since this is going nowhere lol.

    Re-read the above.

    -----------------------------------

Only a ship with an unedited base of 160k HP could use this, only noobs or weak credit ships could employ this, they could only be on the ship, they do double damage to Npc's in uppers only, they cost more then an Lf3 and offer less initial damage. You should really think about that.

Why would someone use a credit ship in uppers, employ these, and hit the same if not less on Npc's and less on enemies. It seems absolutely pointless. Noobs that this idea was probably intended for would probably never be able to afford this, they'd be full Lf3 with a uridium ship before they could, after which point this is useless, why would someone fly a credit ship with these expensive lasers to hit essentially the same.

You might think the double damage makes a big different but with a ship that could only carry maybe 5-7 lasers, it wouldn't be much difference, certainly not worth doing less damage on enemies and in non-upper maps. Why would this even have the appearance of a credit laser when it's the opposite, an expensive uridium laser, not very creative.

EDIT: Dealing with so many of your delusional idea's has made me weary and I have seemed to mix up effects from two of your idea's, this laser apparently can be equipped to drone's(I think), it would still be worthless to have a credit ship in uppers trying to kill aliens then getting slaughtered by enemies and not being able to do anything, both because of low damage and HP, noobs could never afford this and some Ufe's might use it, it's a no win situation.

It works on all NPC's and is even more effective in the uppers, weak uri ships can use them too.

    Re-read the above.

Considering PvP, I'm surprised you guys aren't pleased with the notion of weaker ships staying that way with this idea since that seems to always be your goal.

You may believe that ships with 5 to 7 lasers dealing double dmg in uppers against npc's is un needed but that just goes to show the type or idiocy I always have to deal with.

    Thank you for trying.

Again with the insults, I don't insult you, just because I disagree with your idea doesn't mean you have to lash out at me, try thinking through an idea before posting it instead of spamming the forums with complete crap, no offense intended.

It does normal damage to aliens and the x2 damage in uppers I'm assuming? Only a few uridium ships could make use of this and that's if they have no HP from bio points, I think I explained on several levels why this isn't needed, why have less lasers and HP making yourself more vunerable when you could practically double your laser amount in a good uridium ship, not to ention this is more expensive then an Lf3 and so much less effective.

You'd get slaughtered if you employed these in uppers in a credit ship, why in the hell would anyone fly credit ships in uppers to begin with especially for Npc's? It seems this is aimed at credit ships and forcing them to use it in uppers to get any use out of it all, noob credit ships at that since even noobs would have a few bio points in HP, they'd have to drop large amounts of uridium for a small damage increase on aliens that probably wouldn't be noticeable to begin with compared to full Lf3's in the same ship or even a uridium ship.

The leo and the spear would find much value in this idea besides the other ships.
Why fly a spear in the uppers?
    To sabotage ability ships.......

  20. BOSS~ADAM

    BOSS~ADAM User

I'm pretty sure that's a contradiction, why be in a weak ship in enemy uppers and make yourself even weaker by employing these, a laser that doesn't do anything positive in a PvP situation, what's the point of flying around enemy uppers to just ruin abilities of ability ships for a few seconds and on top of that your weak so have no offensive capabilities once-soever.

What makes you think anyone would be using this idea in enemy uppers???
That is a whole new kind of foolish.
Whom ever uses this tech is welcome to do so in that way but I would suggest using it in home uppers.
