SERVER MERGER! Dead Servers UNITED.

Hello Developers, Administrators, Moderators, and fellow Avid Dark Orbit players.
I've been playing dark orbit for many years now, and its become clear that many servers in Dark Orbit are dying out. Now, I know that there are different time zones and events in each server events are planned accordingly to. With that said, Certain servers that are in based out of the same area are in need of merging, because Global America 2, the server in which I play, and is one of the original servers. It is now a DEAD server.
With that said, Global America 1, and 2 could perhaps be merged together, USA East Coast is also a dead server, so another dead server around that time-zone could be merged. I'm an Eastern time-zone player.
I feel it would be a wise investment for the Big Point/ Dark Orbit crew, because on these dead servers more and more people are quitting because there is no use in investing anymore money when there is next to no competition in a dead server, and those who leave, most of them are not going to a different server as it costs just too damn much, and takes too damn long to start up again. It would be a wise investment for Big Point / Dark Orbit crews because when people see that the servers have been merged with another server, they will come back and start investing more money into the game to get the latest updates, and the coolest gadgets, or simply to keep getting x4 ammunition VIA galaxy gates. (Which cost money to build for the most part.)
So please anyone, and everyone I encourage you to add your input into this matter. It needs to get enough attention for it to even be considered.

GA2 wont merge it is not that the people are few but a lot are Spanish.
Maybe if players stopped flocking to VRU the companys would be more balanced.
But it does create more fun knowing I can always pick off plenty of VRU.
you should consider switching to MMO. Come to the dark Side think about all those targets hiding in the pala fields lol.
They should merge some of the less active servers though.

Servers need to be merged. The Global America 2, and Global America 1 servers are DEAD. Why do nothing about it and loose players because there are not enough active players. Merge them together!! This game is boring on GA2 because its DEAD. I agree with everything N0-MERCY said!

 

servers dead are, because there is a high rank to dial harder .. if to recalculate, it abruptly yet shall he live. I do not think that merging of servers is a good idea

Global America 2 may be dead, and you can speak your opinion out, but I have to tell you, I play on Global America 1 and it´s pretty much alive, PVP, pala fields, highs, lows, pirate maps, everything is an every day struggle to survive, and is fun. I don´t know why there´s people who don´t know what they are talking about and yet they do talk. Man if you don´t play on a server (GA1) you cant go out there and say is dead.

PS: Referring to GA1 you DONT KNOW what you are talking about.

And what do you mean by spanish? are you talking about Mexicans? colombians? Puerto ricans? Dominicans? or people from Spain?

I´m from Mexico and when I talk about people who speaks english I don´t say the "english" people, I say, people from Australia, United States or England. I don´t know if I explained that good enough for you.

Bottom line, GA1 is more alive than ever!

Big Point counts on you getting bored on dead server and starting new account on server that still has some people left and spending them thousands all over again...

If they really wanted to do it they could...there are not many players left so even transferring accounts manually shouldn't be problem ...support has nothing to do anyways ...copy paste answers are sent by bot

 

Server merging, I just don't like the idea, it would be a waste of time and they'd screw it up, piss off player, etc, besides that, ranks would get further ruined, what about event ranks as well. Server merging would only be a temporary fix to a growing problem, the game needs advertisement and change and new players.

A server merge would just cram players together and eventually those players would slowly quit, remaining players ask for more server merges, eventually 1 or 2 servers are left and no one players them, on the opposite end of the spectrum, if the game became lively again after a server merge, they'd have to remake servers. Some say server merges are impossible, I'm sure it's possible but would be worthless and would do more harm then good.

 

By Spanish I mean the server is 85% now Spanish speaking. As the English are fewer each year. I can not be more clearer than that .

 

It's funny how most of the complaints are about how dead GA1 is... The fact is it's the most active server on Dark Orbit. If you think GA1 is dead try visiting some of the GE servers you can see tumbleweed blowing across your screen.

 

I dont think this game can be saved its way too late now , merging servers would be fun for about a month but after that everything will be back to normal with thousands of players still quitting each week . The game itself had potential to go on and become one of the greats but bigpoint got too greedy , i think it all started back when they introduced the 9th drone and then went around bragging that they made something like $100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.00 just off that one drone .
Since then they seem to think they can rip off the gaming community by adding chance to the game and also stupidly expensive equipment .
Even if they took all the chance out of the game now , lowered uri prices and made it even more easier for new players to become ufe well this game would still die a horrible death simply because its owned by bigpoint and they just do not have a clue what they are doing with regards to gameplay .

 

Sounds good - 'Dead Server Unite!' Until it becomes the original JP with all in two servers US and EU aka (BOSS)Adam[FFK] said. I no care about language. I am sure they will understand laser fire. Get rid of chance so, that this game has a chance. No DO - no money for BP

 

I 100% agree with server merges being needed. DO has made dozens of not needed replica servers, ( IE: germany servers up to like what? 7?) US east 1 is nothing but a shadow of what it used to be in terms of numbers. I cant even think of what its like on servers that were small to begin with back in like 08. Having multiple servers for the same country/region is retarded if u ask me. Why do we need 3 US east servers, merge please.
Another game i play had the ability to do a server merge, but always stalled off on the idea. They recently did it but at a time way too late, they did the merge and he new server is basically dead. This would be the outcome of DO not doing their merges at a time like now. BP has more then enough money and resources to pull it off, even if it brings bugs they can be fixed. They have no reason to not try to save this dying game.

 

I think mergin servers might be complicated i understand that , what about account transfer i would really like to play with my account on diffrent servers even with a chargin fee if that can be implemented . i cannot be expected to start a new account since that takes at least a year. so please think about it

 

And you really want all the garbage players from other servers concentrated in one place? All the uncaught bots, hacks, cheats, team-killers, backstabbers, noobs, trolls, goofs and riffraff all in one place...... I think not.

Every action has its consequences. No merge, please. We have enough morons to deal with on a daily basis.
