  1. We have all experienced problems with ship abilities sometimes and ended up wasting a goliath design ability (for example) that we've been waiting for 15-20 minutes to recharge. Its a real pain most of the time when that happens. You dont want to go back to the aegis, spear or cit since you prefer the goliath abilities more. We look at the aegis, spear and cits abilities with the very short time wait they need to recharge, on top of that with 3-4 abilities crammed in them, leaving goliaths with only one ability with a long charge wait.

Don't us Goliath pilots all wish we could simply have the ability to pause and continue the consumption our abilities? So we don't end up wasting the other half of it when we're not in battle?

We could have two options for this:

    1. If you were to use the Fortress ability from the Sentinel design and deliberately stopped it at half way, you would only have to wait half the time the ability would regenerate fully at to be able to reactivate it.
e.g. If you stopped the ability after 1 min of usage when there were 2 minutes remaining you would have to wait 10 minutes to be able to use it again instead of 20.

    2. You could have the option to pause the ability for future use while it is recharging, and instantly continue using the ability after. While paused, the ability may gradually regain power. Once the ability is fully used, the player has to wait for the full recharge duration. To prevent people from avoiding the wait duration, pausing the ability can either cost uridium or consume up to 10% of the total ability activation duration.
e.g. 1 min for venom, when paused, 6 seconds are deducted. (Its fair enough to have this considering you don't have to waste the whole thing instead.)

  2. sounds feasible but i think it removes the players responsibility from using the ability accordingly. I mean, if it were that easy, everyone would be running around map venoming someone lol.
