Skoll too hard?

Any other people that are noobs like me think skoll is too hard? I mean, having about 50 icys coming after you while trying to deal a couple million dmg, at the same time only dealing about 2k a hit is not exactly easy. Any tips for beating him would be appreciated as well.

Also, this is on the easy gate.

 

He is hard but then again he is meant to be hard, it's nice to actually have a hard NPC for once.

Best thing you can do if you are finding it too hard is to use kamikaze and chip away at his health for half an hour.

 

With 2k dmg, he is hard for you too much. How I beat him was using Goliath, diamond formation (FE Goliath) and P.E.T out in Guard mode with 5 lasers shooting x4. Before you go on that Skoll to beat him, try flying around and clearing those first Icy's that spawn with the Ice Meteoroid (that means only Skoll will be left). After this go on with x4 ammo, as I said P.E.T will be useful.

 

If you have Venom design that could really help. Use ability and wait and use it again, shoot between abilities too. Damage goes directly to hp so it is great help

 

venom doesnt really do much to its hp though lol i used it on mine barely scratched it, will take u hours doing it that way

 

Yeah, it's rather hard...especially if you're a noob.
Try and kami'nng it, as-well as getting a few shots on moth, here and there.

 

Isn't it supposed to be a 3-player gate?


EDIT: Nevermind! I was looking at the wrong official announcement in the DO revealed thread

 

It took me several tries to finish the Hard Gate, here is what I did:
When the Skroll first appears, x4 and sab, 3030 and Kami, when the first set of Icys show up ignore them and continue to shoot. when the 2nd set shows up start taking them out with normal ammo so you dont waste your good stuff, you will need to reset your hot keys to do this. after the Icys are parked in the corners, go after the Skroll again same way, and continue this until it parks in a corner, be careful thou it comes out at least 4 times until you can finally pop it.

I made a ton of creds, and uri using kami on the parked icys in the corners, almost 40k with the Skroll and Icys on uri and well over 20mil in creds. It takes time so allow yourself time to do it and dont get frustrated. otherwise it will beat you.

Well is started with the hard one it feels quite challenging, actually as now im right against him pop the ice meteoroids first then go for the painful skroll that i think he leaves like 10 - 15 waves of icys doing actually with just x1 ammo and i might take an hour or 2 to accomplish with a base damage of these

Standard laser damage 9000-10000
Rocket 3000
Multilauncher 10000

Formation Moth + Heart (it helps to endure and kill the Icys fast)

 

Kill everything Icy and cold and travel in a straight line away from Skoll. If you not using your skull, you are circling You deserve it - there are 20 lives/chances for you to learn your lesson instead of 3 lives. Can be done with x1 and kami x3 for each wave of Icys to make 'em disappear. I dislike the runners to corners, so I pop all the Icys before I go after Skoll next. But, that me.

? Why do you have 50 Icys after you? Pop the Icys first before going after Skoll. I count ten, so how the heck it go up to 50!

 

You can easily have more then 20 icys after you if you continue to go after the Skroll and back off when they come out, I parked over 400 icys doing this gate, I keep track of my NPC kills on a daily basis and when I was done with this and the easy gate this was my count: 750

 

I tried it yesterday without Kami, moth, just x1 and I don't have any fancy equipment like everyone mostly has....pain in my butt. Just ask anyone in chat. Plus on top of that my game interface kept on freezing and I'm not sure if that's because infiltration was going on at the same time.

What kills me is how there is and easy and a hard gate depending on what level you are....not sure if Bigpoint realizes that levels mean nothing when it comes to what equipment you have. I'm level 19 and still have basically FE equipment from 6 years ago, granted I have a pet, 1 LF4, and some items upgraded. The gate was still very difficult for me. I really want to try it again but I have a "why bother" attitude toward it now. *takes a breath*

 

One guy kill skoll only with venom, it take much time but you finish gate if you cant on other way.
