  1. I'm thinking of a Palladium collector for Skylab, but works differently from the others.
When the ore is produced/collected, it is automatically added to your ship, taking up space in the process.

Here are some possible level bonuses that can be added.

    Level 1: 1 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 2: 1.5 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 3: 2 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 4: 2.5 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 5: 3 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 6: 3.5 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 7: 4 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 8: 4.5 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 9: 5 Palladium in a Hour*
    Level 10: 6 Palladium in a Hour*
    Level 11: 6.5 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 12: 7 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 13: 7.5 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 14: 8 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 15: 8.5 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 16: 9 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 17: 9.5 Palladium in a Hour
    Level 18: 11 Palladium in a Hour*
    Level 19: 13 Palladium in a Hour*
    Level 20: 15 Palladium in a Hour*

*The collection rate difference between the previous level IS correct.
    -Collector can be toggled On/Off

At max level [20], the collector collects Palladium at a max of 15 per Hour, until the current, active ship cargo is full. Once it is full, the collector time will pause, and won't collect anymore until the Palladium is traded off and more space is available.
I chose this rate, so it won't be too OP and if would still require people to collect Palladium to get decent amount of energy, and it also gives new players a chance to get Palladium.

I like this, however, what would prevent people from buying a Cathedral, and just having it pile up in there?

  3. Is bad idea, think if cargo is 25k. collec whit you pet work good.

  6. But the items collected in Skylab (Palladium) is automatically stored on your ship, not in your Skylab. To get the energy, you have to take all that to the base in 5-2. And when the level is maxed, you can only get 360 Palladium per day (24 Free Energy), so it is not VERY effective, but not too OP
So to max out the Citadel cargo (25,400 Units), it would take 70.5 DAYS to fill it.
Therefore, it is a very good, but not too OP rate.

I assume by Cathedral, you mean Citadel. And the collected Palladium will not store in the Skylab.
The collection rate is quite slow (posts above shows how long for 25,400 cargo on a Citadel), as to fill a Normal Goliath space with the x2 cargo expander, 3,000 units, will take 8.3 days to fill.
Besides, you will need available space in the ship in your ACTIVE hangar hall.

  7. I remember seeing this idea on the older forums, I didn't like it. Palladium should stick solely in the pirate maps. You already get one free energy a day, no need to build gates out of nothing. 24 free energy is 2,400 uridium, now 7 days is 168 free spins, and that is a weekly total of 16,800 uridium you would use spinning traditionally.

BP wouldn't like all that free uridium being spread out would they.. ;)

Sorry but you don't have my support.

  8. But there would still be people using Uridium for gates, since 168 spins is still not good xD

  9. It's not the fact that it will discourage people from using uridium, if this is implemented, then it's free uridium being handed out. BP doesn't like doing that.

  10. But it is still at a slow rate. People that buy Uridium will continue to do so.

  11. I think the rate should be a little bit higher in my opinon to be effective , othewise i wouldnt give up my seprom for palladium

This doesn't fit with what the Skylab does: the basic three resources refine into two which refine into one which refines with xeno into Sep.

Where does the Pally magically come from? It lacks any storyline...

  13. I love how people have a knee jerk reaction to anything that makes the game cheaper, and then complain about how expensive it is. Sounds like a sound idea to me, don't really care though. Pally is not my concern.

OT: Kiler, your signature is so funny. I wish you had full hercs so FUL was cooler ;)

  14. This is not a good idea. DO will manufacture out my seprom to make palladium, just like they are doing with my prom.

  15. Lol, I'll be working on Havocs first XD

The reason for not making it higher, is so it would still give people a little bit of palladium, but not enough to the point where they need to palli.

The Palladium collector, is a collector. It goes around pirate territory, collecting palladium, like the way the main three collectors work.

What. The main three collectors do not go around and "collect" ores, they generate them. New players don't really need palladium because there is nothing they can do with it.

  17. 1.)In that case, the Palladium can "generate" the palladium
2.)Perhaps right before getting the generator to level one, it'll provide some message to the new player and certain things are needed (Level 12 to access the pirate maps and that's the only place to trade | Now is not a good time to activate, etc)

  18. Well it's not giving out much, and you still would have to do some work to get a decent amount or Extra Energy's... It seems like an OK idea.

I'm better off just leaving my PET out collecting pally rather than spending uri to gain 15 pally and hour, buff the collection a bit more and then it will be more effective to players.
