Soccer Bonus discontinued

Some years ago when Bigpoint decided to discontinue the “soccer bonuses“ special sales, the DarkOrbit team decided that we would like to continue giving our players the opportunity to get some extra Uridium.

Since then we introduced the regular Helix Sale (“Giga Happy Hour”) and organized other sales too, giving our players a more reliable and stable opportunity to purchase Uridium.

We now have decided that we also want to discontinue the “Soccer Bonus”.

First of all, during the qualifiers the maximum bonus was limited to 4x the Uridium. You would get this bonus only if your country’s team would score enough goals, so the full bonus was rarely booked.

Also we noticed that the number of players actually using the opportunity (difference between user purchasing Uridium during the Soccer sale vs. every other day) has gone down so significantly that it is no longer measurable. Looking at the potential risk for errors and the work required to set up these sales, we believe the time is better spent on other activities.
