Some of us don't like the PvP part of Dark Orbit. So...

A new "company", the Jovians. Mercenaries of sorts from the outer solar system, they are interested only in removing the alien threat that has been ravishing their planet for years. They have no interest in engaging with MMO, EIC, or VRU. They look at the company squabbles with amusement and don't pick sides in order to remain neutral. Occasionally they will join parties to go out raiding but they are only observers and lookouts and don't engage in battle with humans.

• Neutral to all other companies. They can't shoot at others and others can't shoot them. They can only be shot at by NPCs, and they are only able to shoot at NPCs.
• Their name appears blue to all players.
• They have a yellow motif.
• They can pick up cargo boxes from NPCs but are not allowed to pick up cargo boxes from other destroyed players.
• They don't have quests that involve destroying ships from other companies. This will cause them to take longer to level up, but they are in a better position to do quests since they don't have to worry about being shot down by players from other companies while doing them.
• They have no home base. They are welcome in any X-1 map.
• The X-1 jump CPU will take them to the X-1 map of the company they happen to be in at the time of the jump, e.g. if they're in 3-6, they will jump to 3-1. 4-2 jumps to 1-2, etc. 4-4 jumps to a random X-1 map.
• New players who start out as Jovians will start on a random X-1 map. They won't be able to travel to a different X-1 map until they reach a level that allows them to go to X-3 and X-4 maps. Then they can travel to all other X-1 maps in the lowers.
• Jovians can sell ore at bases in all companies equally. There is no reduction in price for selling at a different company's base.
• They can join any party or clan if accepted. If a party that they join is going on a raid to destroy other ships, they can't attack the other ships and they won't get credit for others in their party destroying a ship. They do get credit for NPC kills made by party members.
• If a clan they are in is at war with another clan, they are exempt from fighting in the war. They can't attack anyone in the other clan and nobody from the other warring clan can attack them. Name tags of the warring clan members appear blue to the Jovians.
• They can join in games that don't involve shooting other ships such as Spaceball, but can't join in where being shot at is part of the game.
• Since they can't become outlaws themselves, they aren't allowed to shoot at outlaws.
• The cost to switch to the Jovians is double the cost for any other company. After all, the Jovians are mercenaries and they love their money! (This keeps from having too many people switch over to them.)

Dark Orbit is a great game and I love playing it, but I have high blood pressure and heart palpitations and it's dangerous for me to get excited or angry at being attacked and shot down by other players who suddenly uncloak out of nowhere. I think adding the Jovians would be a good idea for people who don't want the PvP side of the game for reasons like this.

 

No thanks its a pvp game.If I join this company i would get ufe then join mmo or another company and then become the best.After that i could win Jackpot battle.
SO NO Others have payed to become ufe why should i get it for free?And I am talkin bout ufe because if you are never sho down u will never loose drones or uridium. If this happen me and the most of Gb1 will quit. So do other players from other servers.
