Spearhead bug or what?

    I was wondering is it ment to be that spearhead JAMX ability neutralizes golijat specials like spectrum's and sentinel's?

    If it is, than it makes no sence, and if it's not ment to be, fix that bug....

    ,,This ability emits an interference field which paralyzes enemy ships' functions" so is not a bug and it makes sense because spearhead is a weak , recon ship .

    It doesn't make sense, because it didn't happened before, and now sometimes it does, and sometimes it does not... in my book that's bug...

    It has always happened before that JAMX cancels ship abilities. There does seem to be an issue with the fact that you must be in range when first using JAMX as even though it lasts for 5 seconds before it starts to cooldown it won't affect a ship's ability that is outside of range when JAMX is used and is then within the range within the 5 second period. Perhaps this is how it is meant to work, I don't know.

    I also feel it is wrong that JAMX will not decloak another player but has a 50% chance of decloaking the spearhead using the JAMX if he is cloaked. I'm not talking about ultimate cloak, just normal cloak.

    You need to stay on his ship or be around ship which is using this ability , if u are far from him it wont have any effect

    Hello _Dommek_,

    This feature is an intentional feature of the JAMX ability for the spearhead. As
    SauronL correctly states, there is also a range in which the ability has an effect, therefore if the ability does not appear to work it could be that the opposition ship was out of the effective range.

    Hello whoeva,

    I didn't intend to ignore you however i was unsure of what response i could give to your concerns. If support has implemented a feature to the game or a ship then that has been implemented intentionally (i.e. not a bug) therefore there is not a lot that i can look at for you however what i could do is report this as feedback, at least then i would have passed on your concerns.

    Good idea, JAMX and emp look a lot like each other, but emp does work way out of range and JAMX doesn´t :S
     
  10. EMPs have a lighter color, graphics are faster and have 3 waves
    JMAX have a slightly darker color, slower graphics and is one big wave.

    So when you use Aegis ability's like repair it also will compromise it or what?

    JMAX Disables and compromises every ships' abilities.
    Aegis for their repairs.
    Citadel for its abilities
    Other Spears and its abilites
    Special Goliath designs for their skills
    Lightning for it's afterburner

    JMAX will disable the ability if it's active, or if it is not active, JMAX will prevent the user from toggling it for 5 seconds. Icon would look grayed out, with a red slash through it.

    -Note: Only works on enemy ships. Has no effect on friendlies. Also, JMAX will not uncloak other players, nor will it disable their lock like a normal EMP. Make sure you are close to their ship too for ability to take effect.

    Just wondering how will players hit JAMX to neutralize Vengi's afterburner? Especially with so much lag now, but never mind. Thx everyone for their inputs on this. You may close...

    Best advice I can give you is to force them into it with decel or freeze rocket and anticipate them using ability to break free and trying to stay within range to make JAMX work if they do use it ;)

    Unfortunately it is the nature of the beast that faster ships will be much harder to neutralise due to their speed, there is not much that can be done to counter this unless you use the rockets suggested by
    whoeva.
