Spearhead or lighting Vengeance

I currently have a UFE spearhead, which i find is a great ship for pally and the 5-x. however i am considering getting a vengeance as i have got a lightning design from a booty box. Would a Lightning Vengeance be a better all round ship compared to the Spearhead?

Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks

 

It's no different to a standard Vengeance, aside from the +5% Damage bonus and the activated ability. I think it'd be better, though, as you've got more Lasers and it's still faster than a Goliath.

You've got the added Cargo space, too.

 

Ultimate cloak and recon abilities are good fun, the lightening vengeance design has a 20 minute cool down. I personally prefer the spearhead, it easily outruns the goliath and can even outrun a vengeance. No one can catch you ^_^

 

i say spearhead to i like off the radar thing lol u can wiz round the maps fasterlookin for titles lol ie hade a faw now cus me spearhead abiltys a good on this ship the vengie ony give u turbo boost to ur engins for fie secs then its 20 min cooldown pluse the spearhead has the emp thing soif a spectrum uses his abilty u can cancal it he pop love it

There is a slight difference in speed between both the ships but when you compare lasers and generators slots vengeance is a good balanced ship and with Lightning design 5% extra damage and after burner ability.On the other hand spearhead has 5 laser and 12 generators slot but with 4 special ability like Ultimate cloaking, Jamx, Target marker and Recon. So both are good ships but you have to choose which 1 is best for you

Do you (the original poster) have any further questions or can we close?

 

I'd say spearhead as they zoom out of view before getting any harsh damage on, where as vengy would take longer esp with the cooldown for the lightening.
