I just did 3 miss in row with lasers, is this gonna be fixed or what?

 

If you read the link I provided for you then you would get an explanation and know what was going to happen with it.

The issue with the Electro Optics should now be fixed according to the Official Announcement and the information that we have had, and based on what i saw in-game over the past day or two, i am certainly not getting as many 'misses' as i was getting.

The Electro Optics themselves don't completely rule out the chance of you missing the enemy or NPC, it only decreases the chance therefore you will still see 'MISS' from time to time.

I'm not sure if it actually has been fixed yet, if it has then the descriptions are still to be updated.

"To solve the problem and re-instate the original conditions, we are doubling the skill bonus to the number you are used to and change the skill’s description."

Both skills are still only on 12%.

 

I can confirm that this is a visual issue;

"The description of the “Electro-Optics” still mentions a 2% bonus per skill level while the bonus is 5%. We will change that at a later point in time."

Therefore the Electro-Optics should be working correctly on the map, it is just the description that needs changing.

That is correct.

Having electro-optics will increase the hit probability of your lasers but you may still get 'miss' sometimes. In other words, if you have 5 pilot points on electro-optics then you have a higher probability of hitting an enemy/npc than if you had 0 pilot points on this skill.

today I did zeta gate and take a look very cerfauly,i didn't have one single miss laser,after that I vent to palla and right away notice miss against aliens. is that normal?

Sometimes it is the case that we get certain periods in the game where we get less misses than others, after all it is down to percentages and chance therefore it does sometime sway from less hits than average to more hits than average.

Since the issue is now fixed i am going to close the thread to allow for archiving.

Okapi32, i believe the description is now correct also.
