Introduction
Hello there, I'm back again and this time with the design guide. Here you can find tactical information about almost all of the available designs. This will include an overview of their stats, a few tips for configs and formations, of course their abilities and when to use. I will not be going over designs that only have a passive bonus (like 5% damage) or 10% honour or designs that give you the same stas, as I feel like their use is obvious. SOLACE

Passive boost: +10% shield

The Solace design features an awesome design (if you ask me) a passive 10% shield bonus and an ''average'' ability that allows you to instantly repair your HP and that of your Group members. More HP may sound good but beware, if it wasn't for its name, and looks, I would almost never recommend this design... But let's have a look anyway and start with the ability

Instant-repair
This ability allows you to instantly repair 50% of your current max HP and 25% of current max HP of all of your outfit members. Depending on your drone design, formation and if you've got HP boost or not, this can give you a massive HP boost within an instant. Be sure to always have your Max HP config out (heart / moth formation, full hercules and double HP-boost if possible) because the higher your current max HP the more you will repair. This also counts for your group members and therefore, communication can be helpful before you activate the ability. Note that the ability has an infinite range on one map but that it no longer repairs your outfit members if they are on another map! Another good point is that it almost can't be countered once activated because it last for less than a second, thereby also ignoring the con with the Aegis repair that is spread out over a larger amount of time. The cool down is 15 minutes.

The main problem with this ability however is that even with the highest HP possible, you just can't repair enough to keep up with today's hits. Though there are some situations in which the ability is useful, for example when your low HP but high shields, if you compare this skill with the other skill designs, it is just not powerful enough. They should really increase the repair to at least 75% and maybey even 100% HP. Besides, the extra HP for your outfit members is nice but the cool down is to long to sacrifice the ability for your outfit members instead of saving it for yourself.

Overall
It's much better than nothing of course, but I feel like almost any other design for the goliath is a better option in almost every way.

Fashion: the boss? ^^
Players: probably most useful here, especially to counter stuff like moth formation, P.E.T kamikaze and HP-mines.
NPC: not really useful, you should only use it when really necessary because of it's long cool down and because there is a big chance you might need it in PVP.

VENOM

Passive boost: +5% damage

Now if compare the Venom with the Solace, the Venom is a much more interesting design, as it features a very unique ability that is often underestimated by many players, but that is actually very deadly. The 5% damage boost is always nice but if you combine the ability with the moth formation and kamikaze, you can kill easily your enemies before there shields are even empty! There is however a big con as it takes time, and not just a little...

Singularity:

When this ability is activated, it instantly starts draining the HP of your enemy by a specified amount (I believe it is 1% against players). Though it does not seem like much at first sight, while the ability continues, the damage builds up (once again based on enemy HP), reaching a maximum of 13500 direct HP damage in the end!

As said before, the damage that the ability deals during the ability is different but in the end it will always deal 440,600 HP damage. If you are fighting an enemy with more HP and you activate the ability, the first hit will be big but the next one will be only slightly harder. But if you activate it on an enemy with low HP, the first hit will be low, while the increase in damage per second will be much bigger.

Here is an example of when I used the ability on a Boss Sibelon (800K HP)

at 30 seconds: 7500 HP
at 15 seconds: 10500 HP
at 2 seconds: 13300 HP
at 1 second (end): 13500 HP

You can clearly see that there is a huge damage increase over time, and that the last few seconds are absolutely devastating, since all the damage will go directly to their HP.

As you can see, it can be very helpful against both Players and NPC's as most ships have their HP (far) below the 440,600 damage that the ability can deal, and if you use the moth formation and kamikaze as said above, you can drain their HP even faster. It also works great in galaxy gates as the NPC"s there have a lower shield absorption, allowing you to kill strong NPC's with tons of shield left.

And the last pro would be that you can deal damage while repairing your HP, this is the only way of doing so (as far as I know) and it can give you a huge advantage!

Unfortunately, as it is can be a very powerful ability in the end, there are also some downsides, first of all you have to wait quite some time before the ability really reaches a good amount of damage. The problem here is that most PVP fights don't last that long and that you can not reach the abilities full potential.

Second of all, you have to be within laser range to activate the ability and you can not use it if your enemy is in a Demilitarized Zone. I also believe you could not use the ability against your own company (excluding wars) though I need this to be confirmed.

Another big problem is that the ability will instantly end if the enemy affected by it fires an EMP, or jumps. It can also be countered by enemy JAMX and draw-fire or basically anything else that makes you lose your lock, including yourself! And did I mentioned the Solace and Aegis repair, or the 19 minutes cool down?! :I

Overall:

Once again: there are better options than this one (in my opinion) but I do feel like it is better compared with Solace, but just because it is more useful against NPC's and just by a bit.

Players: It really depends on whether or not this is a great ability, or a useless one. Try to use it when your enemy has activated it's EMP already, or is running away and use kamikaze and the moth formation as much as possible. Be careful using it against group classes (Citadel, Aegis, spearhead) as they can either tank, counter or heal the damage, rendering the ability totally useless. Also try not activate it when any of these ships are around, choose wisely and see it as a support ability to help you to get a kill, not a killer on it's own!

NPC: with the NPC's it's a totally different situation, as they can't jump or EMP you will always be able to fully profit from the ability when the NPC either dies or just receives the 440K HP damage after 1 minute. It is also very useful because NPC's can't repair their HP, allowing you to kill almost every NPC, even without firing a single laser shot...Therefore here, a good ability, to bad the cool down is so long

This is very informative, I did make some typing errors in the reply for you and added a spoiler to it for you to reduce the length of this post. This allows you to hide the information and just have headers showing allowing the reader to decide if they want to see that portion of the information.

If you pay attention to how the QUOTE works using the [ ] and the / then you can replace QUOTE with spoiler and get the result wanted. I do not understand what is causing the system to add the double spoiler on the venom as I am not putting anything in at the "Singularity:" but it is doing it.

pusat is freaking ridiculous i hate them all the ufes always hunt with them in lower maps and noobs can never run away with a vengeance now. so fast and 16 lasers!!!

Pusat players often go with moth formation that makes their HP totaly exposed without shields. They melt like butter 1 on 1
