TECH ITEMS AND SKYLAB

  1. Well the one thing in the game that is so outdated is the skylab and its tech items. I happen to use tech items like backup shields, repair bot and energy leach. I think that they need an upgrade, they were created back when ships had half the damage capabilities they do now. So to follow suite those tech items should have what they give back to you at least doubled. Also the lab part needs a refreshing first thing is the amount of sep in storage needs an increase to at least 20k and how much is created in an hour needs an increase slightly. ppl have more lasers now they burn through sep quicker so they need to be able to have more in storage, If anyone has any other ideas put them down so we can get something done about it :) yours truely Gunstar_the_legend.
     
  2. I agree the game has changed a lot in the last bit. Yet we are still using the same resource system in the skylab. I have been a player a few years and don't recall it ever being different than it is now.
    Lao we need more precision aiming techs, perhaps a laser tech to match the rocket tech.
    I know we have a aiming chip but it sucks down the xenomite.
     
  3. Thats another thing the lab cannot create xenomite that should be changed to. it might build up slow as sep but at least you could have some being created
     
  4. Yes, i agree with you - they need to do something 'bout xenomite. I think they should make it producible in skylab.

    I've suggested the tech items idea in a few threads and agree something should be done, although I don't think the energy leech needs an update, it turns 10% of your damage back into HP, that's 10k HP every couple shots. The precision targeter wouldn't need an update either as it's already a 100% accuracy tech item. The battle repair bot should perhaps repair 20k HP instead of 10k. The backup shield should give 150k shields. The chain impulse should cause maybe 50k shield damage since 10k is next to nothing in today's game.

    Having the skylab create Xenomit probably wouldn't be a bad idea but it's very easy to attain in-game and can easily be sent to the skylab for storage or use.
     
  6. I like ADAM's ideas on the tech center. It definitely could use an update considering it's not 2009 anymore. Chain impulse is flat out useless. We have kamikaze. 150k shield seems reasonable, but maybe the rep bot should be 15k per second instead of 20k...idk.
     
  7. I think the only time I used the chain was on a group of Strueners for the achievement. The kamikaze does a lot more than this tech without the need for log discs

    Effect: Can inflict up to 10,000 damage on a maximum of 7 targets.

    10k damage woohoo...

    It depend on how you use any weapon, it could be an advantage for any player.
    But I'm going with Precision target, BackUp shield and Chain impulse. I have try others not that good for me. Unless Dark Orbit came up with other.
