UnPlug your Router.. let the Power Drain out completely.. 5 mins should DO fine for some Models.. some Require a visit to the Manufacture's website and a Lazer Rifle..

There is a Regular Routine of PC Maintence to perform before Clicking on this Site..

Adobe FlashPlayer is up to Date.. check it..
Java is up to Date..
Is the Browser your using is Up to Date, Defrag the HardDrive, Clear Cache and run a variety of Programs from your favorite sources ..
CC Cleaner or Defraggler, ASC or other..

I am sure the Purchase of a New Router will definately help if the one your Using requires DRY Ice to keep it Cool..

Good points, the router reset is often overlooked even by me and I went to college a couple years for computer science. Also people need to understand a good PC is key. Playing on 300$ laptop you got five years ago isn't going to work.

Clearing your cache and cookies often is a big help for sub-par computers.

Completely wiping your hard drive clean (after saving your important files to a flash drive) works wonders and doesn't take days like other methods of clearing junk. Not a virus out there that can get around that my friends. Most newer computers have a separate drive specifically for this purpose.

Lastly, if your not running at 20mbs+ download speed your internet is not good enough for gaming especially with others in your home online at the same time as you are gaming. You and your neighbors share bandwidth and a spike from one of them can effect your service.

I completely understand people's frustration with lag. Even if you have all these bases covered, small amounts of intermittent lag will happen occasionally. That's online gaming.

 

I forgot to mention that using an ethernet cable to connect to your router instead of using wireless will boost your speed and performance! This is an easy one and it works.

 

There We go..as you can tell more likely than Not.. I am a Wireless AirHead.. many times the Issues we have with the GAME.. can be found on the Processes we use to Get Ready to Play.

Keep em comin Ladies and Gents.. We want to hear from the Ladies of the Darkest Orbit as well. There are Also Tweeks that can be DOne to make your IP.. OP.. I am writting that Process but trying to make it simple for everyone is the Real trick.

Here is another one.. Make sure you Clear your Cookies after DarkOrbit has started an Event ie... Icys, SpaceBall ( Noob ParkOrbit ) Invasion of the Yellow Dots etc.. Cache n Cookies get for speeding your way to any other Website.. but you will lag in this Game..

So FLUSH all those Cookies. boohoo..
Eat the Ones with Chocolate Chips First..
make sure you have All other Windows Closed then load the game Fresh, Cookies n milk.. are Yummy for those without Lactose issues.
