[TEI] No gate mission

I have no gate mission (The great escape). I believe I should have easy version of it.

After further investigation, the mission does not show for you as it was currently running from last year and it was completed this year.

Astraea, I have a question about that answer. How could it be finished on 12/10/16 when it didn't become available until 12/11/16? Also, the quest is still available, which should not be happening.

 

Because some people had the quest running from last year

 

If the quest is still running from last year... surely it is an easy fix.
It should NOT be running, even if the player did not complete the gate before event ended... as it should have ENDED automatically when event ended and it was removed from event missions ... or am I being too logical ?

 

They have now already finished the quest so there is nothing to cancel

I don't understand why finishing that quest this year is bloking this years quest? Quest was finished before it became available again this year.

 

Because those who finished the gate last year are, at least in majority, those who were experiencing the issue where the gate wasn't appearing for them this year.

However, the event gate & quest in your case were also completed just the day before the gate would have been available for everyone again so we (mods) are and were not able to speak to how that might affect you once the gate issue was resolved.

I don't think it should matter whether the player finished the gate within the duration of the 2015 event or the day before. As long as they finished the gate before 12/11/16, they should be given both bday gates this year. It was never a condition in the first place that you must have to finish the 2015 skoll gate before a particular date so that you can get the 2016 skoll gate.

I am one of those players affected by this glitch. I finished the 2015 gate a day or two before December 11, 2016 so I cannot see the Hard Skoll Gate even until today. I finished a 2015 Gate in 2016 but that doesn't mean that I shouldn't be getting my 2016 gate, considering I finished the 2015 gate before the "deadline".

I think it is utter nonsense and wishful speculation that having the quest either completed or in progress from last year is the reason these gates are not appearing. I have started a few ships on various servers (GA2 GA5 GE6)during this current year and none of them have this gate available either. I have not even seen it stated where these gates are supposed to appear.

Perhaps someone knowledgeable from the development team can give a true answer or fix the problem?

As is, yes those who managed to somehow access & finish the gate before December 11th of this year's event may not get another chance to do it. The Cold Wave gate is available once per event cycle (easy gate once, and the hard gate once [provided you are high enough level]), and having done it before the quest was available ultimately interrupts and goes against this.
So far it seems fairly possible you will not have the opportunity to do this gate a second time this event cycle because of already having done it. As I've said before, there is absolutely no guarantee at this point that anyone would be allowed to do it extra times during this event.

Whether or not you completed the gate last year - last year's gate was meant to be completed then in that event cycle. Everyone had an opportunity to complete the easy & hard gates once last year, and everyone can complete them once this year.

@J_With_A_B you need to accept the quest before the gate will appear in your x-4 map, it is not supposed to just appear on it's own.
