[TEI] No Kronos Gate Part for Hard Skoll Gate

This was initially posted in Game Faq Technical Issues but perhaps it should also be mentioned here.

I received my Kronos gate part for the Easy Skoll Gate however I did not receive it for the Hard Skoll Gate.
I checked my log and it was not listed and my Kronos Gate page as well. There is no trace of the credit for a Kronos gate part from the Hard Skoll Gate.
Oh well...que sera sera.

You will probably get a double posting warning over this. The MODS will usually move a thread if they feel it is in the wrong area.

Honestly I had no idea a duplicate posting was a capital offence. was just trying to help....now I will be punished...ha ha.
Isn't it always the way...do a good deed and be punished for it.....does that say something about the world we live in.

YES that is the life of D O Forums. I was informed that the TEAM needed a particular line of the "Inspect" screen and was reporting the different occurrences so they could fix the failed videos (free energy and transfer time credits) to find out that this advertising cash stream was out of D O's hands and no one could do anything about them. I would have thought such a money driven game like D O would want to have every avenue of income working properly, but I was wrong and even got written warnings costing me trophy points for having done so.

They call it SPAMMING the forums and will usually give a quick warning in your "alerts" section that a thread/posting was deleted for whatever reason, before they actually give you the major punishment.

However, I do have BOTH postings to my logbook that I received the Kronos Gate Piece but only got ONE in the Gama Gate (which I have not run) so I assume they gave a Gamma Gate Part and since it only requires ONE for the Kronos gate you only get the one piece unless this was the last part needed and you launched the gate before doing the next Skoll Gate.

Kinda weird indeed... I played and finished the easy Skoll gate (which was the only one I could afford, since my gb1 account is lvl 12).
I then received 1 Kronos part on saturday 16th.
The point is that saturday was a double Kronos part day, so I thought I would be granted 2 Kronos parts. I know that last year it worked this way with my french account.
The game support told me there wasn't any double Kronos part for the Skoll Gate. Whatever... Maybe I'm getting old and I have problems with my memories.
So I went to the french forums in order to let my friends know that there was no need to aim for a double Kronos part day, since we wouldn't be granted an extra-part...
But a few hours later, a user - and not a common user, a french moderator - posted his logs, showing that he had just been granted 2 Kronos parts for having terminated the easy Skoll Gate. I know this mod, and he's not the kind of guy who would make that kind of joke.
So what's the point? Are the rules different whether we play on a french or a british server? Kinda disturbing, and even disappointing, isn't it?

 

It all depends on what Gate Part was issued. I got a Gamma and Kronos Gate only needs 1 of these. These Parts were supposedly randomly selected and assigned. So you may not have even seen a Part added even though the logbook shows credit for a Part issued.

It would be nice if the Kronos Gate was like the assembly and would build stores of Parts of all Gates done instead of just the needed to open the Gate.

 

first off Archangel-Warrior Hi ! We have flown together b4 on that server .... aka Ĩηfámőúś® .... since I got my Crown from the completion of the Kronos gate the only gates I have built and completed since then was the Lambda Gate /3 times . I did both Event missions [Easy and Hard] and received both Kronos parts and I was rewarded . I part each for the Alpha and Beta gates. All my GG spins are now spent on turning my ship into all Havoc / Herc and heading upwards to Spartans . If you have a gate open b4 you completed the Event missions the Kronos part could have been voided because it was sent to your open gate . Just a thought . I have not tried to open/build any gates but there are 2 parts for A and B For a [NO] Kronos part received , I would send Support an investigate/game problem report for you account.

You may be correct with your analysis of the situation and I appreciate the advice on a path forward.
I however did not post originally with the hope of compensation for myself but simply in support of others who had the same issue.
As far as me missing out on the Kronos part, well as I said que sera sera...it's no biggie and not upsetting in the least.
I won't bother with posing the question to support it's not of importance to me and I'm sure support has bigger fish to fry.

Supports reply was that the Gate Part was randomly selected and IF you already had the fill for Kronos Gate of that part it was just like doing multiples of Zeta you only get one part unless you can deploy the Gate before completing it the second time, OR on Kronos day you only get ONE part unless 2 parts are needed of the Gate you did.

I don't think it was a matter of what Gate part was given, since I don't play my gb account that much and it was my really first Kronos gate part.
The point is: French technical support considers that on double Kronos part day, you should be granted 2 Kronos parts whatever the gate, even Skoll. This reward is granted that way when everything goes well, as our moderator showed in the logs he published. I also received 2 parts for one of the Skoll gates I finished on french server (can't remember which one), while the other Skoll gate only gave 1 part. The second one was then given to me after asking the technical support.

It's a big problem in DO: Rules are not the same wether you play on one server or another. For instance, during the Hitac event, in France, we were told in the announcement that we could obtain 2 rewards for each capsule, just like last year. On english servers, there was only one gift.

 

Well that is why the Mods keep telling people to deal with the language Forum for their server. We were told the the Gate Parts were issued randomly and if it hit a part you already had (only requiring one part) you were just sol. Many of us thought it should have automatically given the Parts needed not randomly select and most of us did it that Monday and Tuesday and did not wait for Kronos day to even worry about "Double Parts" issue.
