[TEI] No Shields No Lasers

I am getting an error when trying to play. It says I have no Lasers installed. I do. Also ... When looking at my ship stats, it shows I have no Shields. But I am loaded up on generators. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Not sure but sounds to me like you have only 1 configuration with equipment on it check your hanger and click on your second config and make sure you didn't forget to equip it. Hopefully it helps Enjoy

 

I noticed this yesterday as well. The 2nd configuration was 2/3 empty. It had been okay up until yesterday. Had to go back in and re-assign the stuff and it worked with no problem. Only time I had seen that happen.
You may have to move your equipment to inventory and then re-assign it all.

 

Sometimes the background muddling knocks things out. Its happened to me before. Nothing like working on killing something and switching to the other config, only to find out you have nothing to work with. Easy to fix, as stated above with a hanger check but frustrating to try to clear out of the way before getting popped.

 

With all of the bugs in the game I have started doing the following ritual before entering into the game map;

• Check ship equipment
• Check Drone Damage
• Check SkyLab Transfer status

Enter map;

• Check keyboard functions
• Verify quick key assignments
• Check NYX for Quests to do
• Verify Chat is working
• Kill NPC's as needed for quests
• Sell ore if Transfer was completed

Assuming everything worked and was fine when checked.
