The combining of servers.

Okay before everyone shoots me down about oh I worked hard to get rank points on MY server and people would be ahead of me on rank and blah blah blah, I hope most of you sensible players will realize the server populations are too low!! The Darkorbit "reloaded" thing was an obvious fail and I've heard of them merging an Asian server already(not sure on this if you have more info on this let me know).
Now I know this wouldn't be necessary for something like Global america one but what about all the USA east servers?? they are DEAD we need some more players and no type of relaunch will fix this game! And then for other servers I'm not sure of the populations of other but say all the french servers are low combine them that way everybody is still combined with people that know their language and you guys could save money from shutting a few servers down and combining them with others...

 

People aren't going to shoot you down because it's a bad idea - it is literally the most posted idea of all time now.

The reason it gets put down is because DO have already openly said they are not considering any form of server merges ... which is unfortunate but right now that is, they get the last say.

Your all ignorant and don't get why this is a bad idea which it is, no to server merges.

 

Yup they failed their Darkorbit "not so" Reloaded plan so this is really the only thing they can do to improve the game now.

And once again, an update that all players want, bigpoint refuse to do.

Updates that players don't want, bigpoint do.

 

Its a big yes for me i dont care about rank just want some action,othewise ill just quit in few months

 

This would do more harm then good and be a step backwards in the long run, the Darkorbit reloaded scheme was a fail indeed but that doesn't make the idea of server merges more feasible or any better, server merging goes beyond ranks and what players want, besides all that mumbo jumbo I just don't like the idea, I change servers to leave behind chumps and then I'd get put back on the same server as them.

 

This has been denied numerous times, the main reason, is the amount of problems that could occur when transferring data to the new server, one second you have 35 lvl 16 next you have none.

 

Why have about 10 dead servers when they can be merged? It would save DO money as they get to host less servers and the merged servers are more active. Also there should be data based on each player that has signed up, what's so hard in moving all the player's data onto another server? The only issue I can see from this is if an individual has one account on two servers that were to be merged, which account gets deleted and which one is kept in the database? That's my only concern other than that it all seems a step forward than a step backward.

 

They've been trying and mostly failing to fill the dead servers, if they merged servers and the newly active servers became over crowded then they'd just have to recant the whole server merge anyways, meaning its just a short term fix which in the end would cost more and do more harm then good, the amount of data would probably be to much to keep track of and I wouldn't put it past DO to screw up everything and ruin entire accounts, why delete accounts for this monstrosity of an idea, if I had to choose I'd say don't delete any of my accounts, you forget ranks as well, event rankings and clan and player ranks, people pay money to achieve certain ranks and I'm sure they'd be less then happy to lose said rank.

 

Can you think of any other solutions then? Seems they tried to bring new players, didn't work. There are not many other options...

The 3D thing (i.e. massive change if it is as big as we think) would be the only thing left they could do other than merge the existing servers.

I agree it is a big job and bigpoint will screw it up they do that with everything but I don't see any other option and I would like to fight with/against more people.

They could fix the game so it would attract more players and this wouldn't be needed, if they screwed it up then you probably wouldn't be fighting new players, you'd be writing support about your empty or non-existent account. If the game was cheaper or the chance aspect was better then maybe more players would stick around.

 

Yeah but most of us have abandoned those ideas since bigpoint want to still be greedy for the few players they have left. If prices were reduced and there was more balance, fine but I don't see that happening either

 

If you mean lowering price of buying uridium then that is just making the game even more pay to win.
Catering to the top percentage, being greedy etc

If you meant lowering cost of uridium items then I would say it might be better to introduce more ways for people to earn uridium items instead of only being able to buy them - just to save the thousands who would complain about not being compensated in uridium for price drops.

 

Hell no to lowering uridium prices, I meant prices on some items and maybe gate spins or change gate percentages, more ways to get uridium or more uridium from aliens might be better though.
