[TI] 2 Single Use Cloaking Issues Grrrrrrrrr....

    As a noob, I went out boxing and got killed every time. No problem, it's part of the learning curve/game. A little research on a tips page and I found cloaking.

    Here's the problem,
    I could only afford the single use cloak (CLO4K-MOD). Bought one to box, it worked great. I knew it would get depleted after my 1st attack. So I bought 2 with uridium and then some more at auction (4 I think). It says one item per config, but...
    1. -All single use cloaks seem to get applied at the same time even though they're in the inventory and not on the ship.
    -Whether you have 1 or 20, they all get used at the same time???

    2. -I spent a lot of resources, it doesn't say anywhere you can only OWN 1 at a time...So I wasted Uridium and Credits. If I didn't read, I'd take the blame but it doesn't say that ANYWHERE.? Frustrating.

    Thanks for listening to my rant, admins... please update the Cloak description to avoid this issue for other new players.

  2. Yeah, a single cloak is a right away thing, you can bring it up to support, but i doubt you'll get anything back for it. Never seen anyone really screw this up before lol.
     
  3. If you buy it in the Shop, you'll see this message when you already have one:

    You cannot purchase this item because you already have one.
     
  4. Trial by error. Hate to say it but observation pays. First CLOAK is a CLOAK MOD. A modification. The other two are CPUS. CPUS you have to equip. Mods you don't "have" to. Also when buying anything test it first before you buy more xD

  6. Don't know what you find broken, but single cloaks are not broken. If it let you buy more then 1, then i suppose it is, as i guess he should warn you, but i wouldn't know, i'v never done it.
     
  7. Well first of all you should take all the matters to speaker's corner before putting it as broken or bugged since you are new, taking other people's advice is a good thing.

    About this particular problem if the system allows you to buy single cloak multiple times when you are already cloaked then, system must warn you that your currency might be wasted.

    On the other hand lets say you are cloaked & system allows you to bid when bidding has 50 minutes to end & you are intending to uncloak before 50 minutes. In that case yes system should allow you to bid because you need it again after 50 minutes.

    Joshua532, As stated above, the CLO4K Mod is a 1 time use item that is used immediately upon purchase. If you apply a second one, it is also used immediately.

    -Thanks for your input, I have no idea what "speaker's corner" is. I posted on the forum because that's what's standard and I wanted to put it out there for BP and other players to know.
    -I may be new to the game but I'm an older player and as such I read the forums and wiki while playing, typically before I do things. We agree, if the system lets you buy 2 or 200, then they should be able to be used in some form, not all consumed at once. It's a flaw, bug, glitch, whatever you want to call it.
    -Let me add, if you buy one (or more) they're in your inventory and they do not need to be added as an extra spot to have them work. This seems to be a glitch in itself and would eliminate the issue. I have found no other device that works this way...everything else needs to be added to work...so why would this one item be different?
    -Again, to all, my point with posting was to bring it to BP's attention so they can correct it for myself and the next player.
