  1. Greetings, I recently came back to Dark Orbit because I heard of the special new 3D update coming soon and I vowed to never come back due to the game being boring after a while as well Flash not handling this game well.

Since I came back, I tried using Firefox and as expected my FPS stayed around 8-15 FPS. Cleared up flash and what not and same thing, as well frequent lag spikes dropping it to 0-2 FPS especially if I or someone attacks me.

Then I turned to Internet Explorer, couldn't load up the page anyway, waste of my time.

Next was Chrome. It was better but only at a max of 28 FPS at times and the bare minimum was around 15.

Once again did everything, updated flash, cleared cache even using CCleaner to fix everything up. I would prefer having a minimum of 30 FPS that way it works very well. If there are any other suggestions to increase the FPS That would be very appreciated. Flash games were mostly a problem to me when ever I used any browser.

  3. My current settings in Advanced Mode are:
    Backgrounds: Average
    Ships: High

    Everything else: Low/None

I normally play with Low settings but like to have SOME things in average, like the ships and background to still have feel to the game.
I haven't tried doing the Optimization but I'll give it a try.

one thing I noticed while working out some lag issues myself was that along with the above included was I also had to set
    Website Storage Settings panel

in the flash player also by clicking on the D.O. link contained there and set that one for unlimited also .
I overlooked it several times because i deleted everything every time I had an issue so it took a bit to catch on lol could also try right clicking mouse on flight page and setting quality to low . good luck

WingSlasher, There are may things that can cause poor performance in browser based games. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the latest versions of your browser/flash/java? Try closing as many background programs as possible. Are you on a wired internet or wireless?

Please let us know the status of your issue.

    Best regards,

  6. I tried that once however I saw no optimization in FPS what so ever. I also tried closing as many background programs I could. I use Maxathon instead of Google Chrome since I constantly get lag spikes in Chrome than in Maxathon. I'm on a Wired Internet. AKA Ethernet cable. For good ping around the servers, but some cases it doesn't work.

    Hi WingSlasher,

I apologize for the delay in a response from us, however it hard to suggest ideas that you have not already attempted in order to improve your FPS. I know that when i personally experience an FPS, it is either that my browser memory is running high (hit 'f' when in-game), my settings are on high, or my laptop is trying to run in power consumption mode which is no good for gaming.

I do hope that your FPS situation has improved however if you're still experiencing problems, it may be best if you contact support for further advice.
