    Hi,

I'm getting terrible lag in d.o atm, even moving around with nothing around me gives me 20fps, need some help because nothing i do works, java up to date, cache cleared, flash up to date etc, im currently on AMD beta drivers but i cant see that having much of an issue but idk.

    Specs: AMD FX 6300 clocked @ 4.2GHz
    R9 270x w/ no overclock
    8GB 1600MHz RAM (CAS9 if it matters)

Using chrome, always used to work well for me.

CPU and GPU temps are fine so no throttling there, all other games run fine (GTA V on ultra @ 60 fps)

    Any ideas?

  2. No telling, there are reports from time to time that DO is having denial of service attacks. Who would think that a game with low player "usage" could be that much of a threat to other games. Some players have these issues only during certain times. Tells me there is a group that clocks in around that time to cause problems. Once that "company" closes for the day, everything is much better.

    What browser do you use?

If it's Chrome then that will most likely be the issue, it's a nightmare for just using up all the RAM, if you want the most out of your browser go for Maxathon. It's based on chrome but a lot better optimized.
If it's not chrome then I'm not sure what the issue could be.

  4. The lag was on more than one server yesterday, on usa1 my pet made the jump though the port and was collecting boxes before I even materialized. Now that was strange.

  5. I agree Maxthon is better my fps goes to 57.

jacktatt, Have you tried the suggestion of a different browser? Also, I see from your post that you are using Beta drivers. These can have unexpected results as they have not been tested in enough conditions to reasonably say that they work in *most* conditions. Can you try reverting to a stable release of your video drivers and see if that works any better?

    Best regards,

Hi, thanks for all your help.

I have used Maxathon and its a tiny bit better than chrome, still cannot get over 4 fps on crazy cubis though and still hit an average of about 25fps, so lagging a little all the time.

I have updated my drivers to the most stable release.

All java and flash still up to date etc.

Locked GPU in gaming mode (1080MHz)

Locked CPU multiplier so constantly on 4.2GHz in games.

Allowed flash to store unlimited memory (The slide bar)

Im wondering if its just the curse of having an AMD cpu chip...Poor single core performance and flash can only use one core, but idk, i would have thought 1 core @4.2GHz would have been enough to secure at least 20fps on crazy cubes and 50fps stable in games.

i Have same cpu not noticed any issues with the game it self with lag with you having it at 4.2ghz im guessing you have overclocked did you turn off turbo boost? once u overclocked it

crazy cubes average fps is 30-40 then average 50-60 fps when just through normal gameplay maybe be worth undoing overclock and starting again just in case anything is affecting it always worth restoring defaults in bios factory reset
another thing is your psu enough? would need a good 500 watt min

not that it really matters as game only really uses your cpu more but have with cpu i have evga 750ti sc edition

  9. my fps just flying around is 57-40 but when i pvp or kill stuff it drops to 25-10

jacktatt, There may be an issue with other programs running in the background. Have you tried booting the minimum programs to see if that resolves your issue? Also, see if there is a method of turning off unnecessary plugins in your browser that may be eating up resources.

    Best regards,

Just came back from a week off, followed advice, turbo boost is off, removed all the bloatware from task manager, even overclocked CPU to a stupid amount to try and see if that works (Proof:http://gyazo.com/588bf3a094a4abd6a4d494acce76d225)

And nope, still the same max 30fps usually 20 whilst moving and 4 on crazy cubes, im not sure what it could be, even ran an anti virus scan and nothing found.

Maybe its something what cannot be fixed? idk

with that sort of overclock if your even stable with proper benchmarking? do u have good enough cooling gona be hot with that clock max we can go for our cpu is 65c and that is pushing it depending on your motherboard socket temp is around 70c

I ran prime95 for a few hours after that specific clock speed and it was not 100% stable so i took it down to 4.3GHz, the clock is stable at that. Im using a CM212 Evo and the temps hit about 63 on full load, i think i might have just got one of the better 6300 chips, it seems to have a high overclock potential. The OC is done from the BIOS not via the catalyst control center too. 4.3GHz seems a little better (Up to about 35-40 fps average) but still suffering small drops to 20-25..

seems to me you got a good chip if u got it stable at 4.6 average is around 4.5 mark

hmm wonder why your fps is still not as good as it was and your flash player is defo update?
what windows are you using ?

when i was on win7 my fps wasnt as smooth as it is now on windows 10 im currently running windows insider preview build 10130 and it was much more noticable in general use and gaming my fps as win7 is alot more resource heavy and plus with the new dirextx12 coming soon it will be exclusive to windows 10 well thats the latest so far so again there will be more of a performance boost again

really am unsure what could be holding u back as u said you can run gta v ultra 60fps no problems

nothing holding back performance in chrome extensions or add ons or anything?

jacktatt, I am sorry that you are still experiencing the issue. The only thing I can think of is the single core CPU holding things back at there is only 1 CPU thread for everything to go through. While your task manager may not show high CPU resources, 1 or more tasks may try to get high priority access to the CPU forcing other tasks to wait for CPU resources. Upgrading to a multi-core CPU may help in this circumstance.

    Best regards,

    huh?

amd fx 6300 is a six core processor not a single core cpu

  20. Enjoy the game.
