    Hi

I have a really weird problem with my client. I am able to enter the game, however, it seems as if I am experiencing a serious latency all the time. For example if I attack an NPC the damage starts counting only after several seconds. Also while running away I keep taking damage even after reaching a safe zone with no enemies around. It's probably more than just a simple connection failure since I can easily login into DarkOrbit main page or any other webpage. I started having this problem after I upgraded my computer so hopefully I am just missing some plugin or something. It would be a great help if anyone has any suggestions.

    Thank you

Below is a variety of reasons as to why you could be. experiencing these issues.

    1. Web Browser is not up to date
    2. Flash and java not up to date - or missing plug ins
    3. Cache needs to be empty
    4. Browser history may need to be cleared.
    5. Distance from server ( You play a Global Europe Server which is a long distance from your Location)
    6. Computer graphic overload. (Graphics card slow or not enough Ram).
    7. Internet type - Wifi, DSL, cable broadband or phone connection.
    8. Programs Running in the Background
    9. Clear Flash player data: Can be done at the following link
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
(This is an actual web page - not just an image)
    10. Try a different Browser to see if issue continues.
    11. Possible server problem.

These are all things that could be causing the issue, these are just suggestions as to what the issue might be to help you resolve the current problem.

I hope this has help in some way.
    Have a nice day!

Thank you for the suggestions. I wasn't able to solve my issue but after some troubleshooting it appears that the internet connection is the most likely cause for the delay in the game. Also there is an issue with the game video quality. The game (client only) appears somewhat in pixels. The settings say that games quality is "adjusted" and changing the settings from low to high does not solve the problem. It definitely is not computer hardware issues since it can run major games like Fallout 4. I have updated Flash, Java and Chrome but nothing solves the problem. Could you please provide some suggestion to what is required to properly run Dark Orbit Client?

Just an idea here, install Adobe Shockwave. That helped with lag when I upgraded my PC a while back. Also try different browsers - in my experience Maxthon and Opera work best. Good Luck!

After looking at your account, the latency issue you are experincing is due to the fact that you are playing on a US server from an European country or you are playing a European server from a country located in the Northern American region.

It is DISTANCE from server causing latency.

Does the OP have any further questions on this topic?

Distance is not likely to be the issue because I have been playing for a while but the latency only appeared recently

Ok, as it was just a thought that the distance your internet has to travel might be causing the latency issue.

Hopefully you can find out what is causing the issue.

After some more troubleshooting the problem appears to be in my current WiFi provider. I have tested the game on a different network and the issue was not present. Thank you for provided suggestions regarding possible causes of this problem. There are no further questions on this topic.
