  1. Even after repetitive cache clears and browser restarts, as well as a PC restart, there is enough lag using company portals to allow for client timeouts.

Was there an unannounced maintenance period ?

  2. Maintenance would cause the server to be unavailable at all. It sounds like they are having internal server issues, maybe the DDoS attacks planted virus's/trojan horses on the servers they attacked.

Read the FAQ for creating Trace Routes and post the results here for the Mods to send to tech support.

Thank you for assisting this player with their issue?

Are you still experiencing this issue ? If so could you please provide use with a trace route so that we can investigate the matter further.

Thank you and have a nice day.

  4. Well, I thought the connection issue was resolved, BUT, today it is very bad.
The client is slow to connect, and once it does, about 2 seconds later it times out and any re-connect attempt is immediately given a timeout again.

Once again, the browser, computer, modem/router have been powered down and brought back up 30-45 seconds later; with no change, except now portals do not have to be used to initiate a timeout.

I have attempted to do a tracert, but the global america 2 (GA2 or the int6) indicator is not recognized.

    ==============================================

6 minutes after posting the above, I was able to connect to the client.
Maybe something else was going on. ( I do not really know at this point)

  5. I had a similar issue trying to trace US2 and US3 last night and restarted my computer and it resolved my issues I was having with the site.

  6. Yes HMHY, I have restarted the computer several times and still have connection problems with dark orbit (only).

Same problem I have stated above is now happening with GA server connection. This is following one wave of an alpha gate, once I tried jumping back to home map. (GA id=55226038)

  7. Okay I was just passing on what I had to do last night. I do know there are other server issues going on currently and according to the threads the mods have passed on the information they have received to assist in correcting the problems. It may just be time to start building a completely NEW platform so they are not having to deal with 10 year old programming and new programming code conflicts.

  8. I have tried a tracert on other servers as well. Using the examples from the FAQ, they all return a
Unable to resolve target system name <server ID>.darkorbit.bigpoint.com/
    or
Unable to resolve target system name <server ID>.darkorbit.com.bigpoint.com/

  9. I tried to follow the instructions to do a TRACE also and got the same message so I don't know what is up with that.

  10. Hey, thanks for checking that part out. At least if someone else sees a potential problem with the examples, it isn't necessarily my hook-up and/or ISP.

I know that with the event going on and the Test server being activated at different times there has been a lot going on.

Are you still experiencing an issue where as you are unable to access or play the game.
Please let me know do that we can investigate the matter further.
    Have a nice day
