[TI] Conection issue

  1. When I try to launch the client, it stays on the establishing connection screen for a really long time, and when it finally does connect, I get an insanely high level of lag. This issue occurs on all browsers.

    My ID is 4873866 and I am on US1.

  2. Hm, strange. From the ping tests you shouldn't have lag. However, have you tried that default stuff for cleaning browser & flash player cache?

    Also, lag may not be caused by what I have written above. Are you sure you don't have some background processes that eat your CPU away?
     

  3. So I cleared the flash player cache, and I can now get a connection, however the connection will still drop frequently. I don't have any major background processes eating my CPU.

    Edit: I also can't connect to the chat server.
     
  4. Yeah, chat has problems on some servers. It has been already reported, and I hope fix will come soon.

    About the connection drops, I am not sure why it happens. Is maybe your connection unstable sometimes? That may cause the connection drops, and also drops by DO server, but no one has reported anything about connection drops in the last couple of weeks at least, meaning it may be some brief drops of your connection that cause this.
     
  5. My connection to the internet is very stable. Darkorbit is the only game I seem to be having this issue with.
     
  6. Hm, not sure than. I think I can't help you much here. You should contact support and look further into this.

    Yeah me to I couldn't play this weekend seemed like everything was 5 seconds behind the comand oh well it's working fine now

    I was recently told by support that the every 2 minutes disconnect has been designed that way. No reason as to why when I stop moving for 2 minutes I get a disconnect.

  11. So we can say that this is a more widespread issue than just me. Hopefully they will fix this soon, and a compensation package issued.

    Edit: It would also be nice if they kept us informed about this problem in the technical announcements section.

All these queries about connection issues are exactly what I am having too, I can sign on, but when it comes to connecting tot he game it just hangs and that green line just keeps going and going but nothing happens, this has been happening for a week now, cleared cache, cookies, uninstalled Firefox and Chrome and reinstalled both, clearing flash and nothing seems to work, I got on once but screen froze and had to close it, any help would be appreciated, contacted support and waiting for help rom them also

  13. i have been having connection issues to GB2 where i log as normal wait for chat bar to load keeps saying the connection to server was lost. chatVersion2.3.3 anyone gimme any advice what happening i have made support claim because it been 24 hours now and its beyond a joke

    are they ever going to fix getting disconnected from the game every 2 minutes?? It is past annoying. If I stop to buy ammo I get disconnected. If I stop to read a mail I get disconnected. Not going to play much longer with this happening. Been almost 2 months and never get a response from anyone.

    I don't have AT&T. Connection issues are only for this game nothing else. The problem is not that simple. People have all types of connections and they are all an issue for them. The game disconnects people 2 minutes after you stop flying and have to reconnect. It's been weeks and still no solution. Playing the game is now tedious and not playing very much since I and others have lost patience with how glitches and problems are fixed. You don't seem to be in a rush and really could care less ..so do the players leaving. Such poor customer service. How do you stay up and running??

    We here in the forums are a Volunteer Moderator Staff, we offer our time to assist the player in the game to the best of our ability with the information that is available to use.

    If you have an issue that we can offer assistance with, we are more than Happy to do so. However we cannot make game changes. We can merely report these issues via the proper channels.

    As for support, you would have to contact them to discuss their customer service practices.

  18. This connection issue being AT&T related is unfounded, I tried logging on today using Xfinity and still have the same issue with the establishing connection screen, sad that support says its all due to Uverse and AT&T, ugh !

    I cannot log in at all this morning. Last night all was fine.Now this morning I go to log in and say external log-in error.
