  1. Hello DDraig,

    I would like to say I also agree with Dream something does seem to be messed up with the damage calculations.
    Here are my Specs:
    20 LF-4 Level 16 on 10 Level 16 drones (10 Havocs)
    15 LF-4 Level 16 on ship (Enforcer)

    Promerium on lasers.
    Double Damage boost
    10% Damage boost from CBS 1-7


    50/50 Pilot Bio full pvp and 5/5 Alien Hunter
    Bat Formation


    Damage to 1-7 NPC:

    x1 - 11,600 - 13,900
    x2 - 23,700 - 29,738
    x3 - 35,001 - 44,816
    x4 - 47,618 - 61,826

    Now for all percentages above my UCB-100 should be doing in the 70,000 range easy because I was doing any where from 71,000 - 79,000 on cubes the week before with all the exact same stats.

    My ship make the normal dmg like always.

    I try it with Seprom, boosters etc.
    The max with x4 without infection was 84.000 damage with bat-formation. ( Kristallon )

    I have moved your post to a new thread so that i can deal with this reported damage issue separately without getting confused between the two. I will try to reproduce the exact same scenario using a TeamTestShip dummy account and will report back the values of damage that i achieved compared the values expected.

  4. lol right over 80k is max dmg u said you was doing between 71-79k on cubes you was seped you have posted saying you was promed that would account for the drop in dmg

    I have just finished checking out your scenario using a TeamTestShip. I did have to get creative in order to achieve the additional 10% damage booster that you would be receiving from the CBS module. However before i show the actual results, these are the damage values that i would expect to see;

    Calculation for Drones (1 LF-4 Laser / x1 ammunition):

    Base Damage: 200
    Laser Upgrade (level 16, +6%): 212
    Drone Level 6 (+10%): 233
    Drone Upgrade (level 16, +6%): 247
    Skill Tree - Alien Hunter (+12%): 277
    Promerium (+30%): 360
    Shared Damage booster and CBS DMG Module (+30%): 468
    Full Havoc Designs (+10%): 515
    Damage Ship Design (+5%): 540

    TOTAL Damage for Drones (20 LF-4 Laser / x1 ammunition): 10,808

    Calculation for Ship (1 LF-4 Laser / x1 ammunition):

    Base damage: 200
    Laser update (level 16, +6%): 212
    Skill Tree - Alien Hunter (+12%): 237
    Promerium (+30%): 309
    Shared Damage booster and CBS DMG Module (+30%): 401
    Damage Ship Design (+5%): 421

    TOTAL Damage for Ship (15 LF-4 Laser / x1 ammunition): 6,320

    TOTAL DAMAGE: 6,320 + 10,808 = 17,128

    Bat drone formation was active (+8%) => Total Damage Overall = 18,498

    TOTAL DAMAGE: 73,993 / x4 ammunition

    This is what that i managed to achieve;

    Therefore based on these damage results, the actual results (72,943) is not too far from the theoretical maximum hit that could be achieved (73,509). Please know that each laser on your ship will always hit 75-100% which is why you will normally see a large range of values when you shoot at something.

    Therefore i am unsure as to why you are receiving lower numbers than what would have been expected. The only thing i could think of is to check to make sure the CBS booster is giving you the additional 10% as it doesn't give 10% booster immediately after it has been place on to a CBS, it takes time for the damage boost to increase up to 10%.

    Thank you for moving it, your mathematics are definitely correct as is your Picture; which is usually what I get on NPCs as well but as of the past 3 days I have not been able to get those damage numbers.


    This is a small video of my damage if you go to my pilot profile in my Sig u can see I'm running 45 Lasers everything else is in the video but the numbers are not correct.

    for Ddraig:

    into the bounty hunter box (skill tree page) i read:

    "makes your lasers cause xx% more damage in pvp battles" (max +12%)

    and under alien hunter box:

    "makes your lasers cause xx% more damage against aliens" (max +12%)

    in other words: 1 skill for pvp, 1 skill for npc, not 2 for npc (or 2 for pvp) -i think :oops:-

    why do you apply bounty hunter damage to calculate the damage against a npc? :eek:

    you forget the havoc's bonus and the design bonus :oops: :p

    my calculation for drones:

    Base Damage: 200
    Laser Upgrade (level 16, +6%): 212
    Drone Level 6 + havoc (+20%): 254.4-->254 (if i'm right)
    Drone Upgrade (level 16, +6%): 269.66-->270
    Skill Tree Alien Hunter (+12%): 302.02-->302 (if i'm right)
    Promerium (+30%): 392.62--393
    Shared Damage booster and CBS DMG Module (+30%): 510.4-->510

    TOTAL Damage for Drones (20 LF-4 Laser / x1 ammunition): 10,208

    my calculation for ship

    Base damage: 200
    Laser update (level 16, +6%): 212
    Skill Tree Alien Hunter (+12%):237.44-->237 (if i'm right)
    Promerium (+30%): 308.67-->309
    Shared Damage booster and CBS DMG Module (+30%): 401.27-->401

    TOTAL Damage for Ship (15 LF-4 Laser / x1 ammunition): 6,019.05-->6,019

    TOTAL DAMAGE:
    6,019+10,208=16,227

    design bonus (+5%)=>17,038.25-->17,038

    Bat drone formation was active (+8%) => Total Damage Overall = 18,401.41-->18,401

    TOTAL DAMAGE: 73,605.64-->73,606 / x4 ammunition

    if ship design bonus+bat is +13% (total):18,336.51-->18,337 (ship+drones, x1 ammunition)

    73,346.04-->73,346 x4 ammunition


    at the end, the result is similar because your "mistake" (about the bonus skill, i think) is offset by the damage bonus of ship design and havoc :)

    Thank you for pointing out that error :eek:, i have corrected it now.

    Thank you for providing me with that video ΣVØŁÚŤÏØИ, based on the numbers they do look slightly lower than what is to be expected. Even though the lasers shoot on a range of 75-100%, i only saw at most 64.5k damage there which does appear to be below what what i would have predicated.

    I will look more into this tomorrow for you and see what i can find.

    Can I just ask if you have warped ship before you are seeing this lowered damage? There is a bug ever since the problem with electro-optics happened where damage seems to be bugged if you warp a ship and play without relogging. Still waiting for any kind of feedback about this as it makes the whole "spear>UC>goli warp trick" less than effective.
