[TI] Did I miss something with upgrading new lasers?

Ok, how long have I been working on this account? Almost a year and buying and upgrading credit lasers and the like ever since. That said, these new lasers SLL2, they cost what 300k credits? Can somebody explain to me why, oh why, they cost uri to upgrade? No seriously, stop laughing... I just went through 70k uri upgrading blindly to find that when I hit the last laser to upgrade to level 2, level 2 mind you, I was out of uri. Why was I out of uri for a credit laser?

3 credit ships I run, and been upgrading credit lasers the entire time and I get suckered into uri upgrades. I know, contact support.... I was already telling myself to do that. But was there something anywhere that said it was a credit laser for uri upgrades? Anywhere???

 

I must say I never saw anything about upgrade costs for these and figured they were not going to be upgrade able. So I guess it is a matter of SUPPORT refunding the Uridium and resetting these to not upgraded and then waiting for the techs to fix the glitch before upgrading them again.

 

Im sorry to hear this PSK~SUNDANCE... the SLL2 already has this other problem, where it only does what it is supposed to on the ship but not on drones or pet, and now ... I also feel for you as you are making a point/statement with your credit accounts and I respect you for it... I sincerely hope that Support will regress the upgrades for you...

 

Don' t feel too bad. I upgraded 10 of them to level 6 for my pet! Lost all of my uri and the pet does less damage! Trying to get plasmid for building better lasers and


(1) Plasmid ore? is not being dropped at any discernible rate and
(2) Everyone is killing me while I'm shooting devos.

This is all disgusting!

OK, I am unsure at this point if the SLL-01 and the SLL-02 are intended to be upgrade-able with uridium or credits. I have looked at the situation and can see that they do cost Uridium at this time. I have sent a request for more information on this matter.

Thank you, I almost wish I had not started on these lasers since they have the added issue and we still have not heard anything about it being fixed. However they are a good fit for me to try to get this account through what I want to do. I am just feeling in limbo about this situation.

Hopefully they get you an answer on this issue. I already know you do a lot of work on FAQ for all the different aspects of the game and it would be good if support could get this and the damage issue sorted out. Thank You in advance.

 

How about Scatter laser 3 i only see them in assembly and i already upgrade 5 of them to level 16 is there any issues with those before i continue and this project ?

 

The Scatter and Lancer 3 lasers are definitely uri items along with the Fusion shield 3. Being assembly items, I had already figured this and therefore not bothered trying to utilize them on my account, except for the ones we had to make for the assigned missions.

 

You can try to test it by equipping 1x SLL 3 into ship only , then drones only, then pet only, then ship + drone (2x SLL 3) and fire on an NPC. If the damage it does when equipped on specific place (ship, drone, pet) is the only pvp damage instead of damage to NPCs (e.g. 130 damage to NPC instead of 175 also take note of your damage bonuses if any is equipped then calculate) then it also does have a problem along with the other 2 Spectral lasers and we need to wait for DO to fix them.

 

Please know, I haven't forgotten you ... I am still waiting on an answer about the credit SLL-01 and the SLL-02 being upgraded for uridium.

Just an update. Support emailed me and refunded the uridium I spent upgrading the lasers. I was informed that although the authorization did come to return the Uri, they are still waiting for an answer about if the lasers are supposed to upgrade with credits or uridium.

Wonder how many others have lost Uridium upgrading these thinking they should be Credit Upgrades also? Also does the UBH work on the credit Upgrades you are doing?

 

Yes, that is why I only upgrade during UBH.

 

As far as I am aware, this issue is still pending.

When more information comes available we will post an update.
