    Hi there,
I have not been playing the game for an age, why , Real Life got in the way.

So one sunny morning whilst having a little slack time at home i decided to brush off the ole main and see how things were going.

Now hold on a minute and we will get to the point,

I started the game up and found I could no longer play the game in 3D. So I went into the forums and asked a question concerning this matter . All good info and help, many thanks for that. I then went over to Mozzilla Waterfox, a rather nice 64 bit Browser from Mozzilla. Well the speed improvement for browsing was tremendous. After getting ride of the normal pop-up rubbish that seems to plague the internet now, i tried to get on to the game.

Well that was a mistake thats for sure, I started to get a little Lego brick in red in the top left corner, so i assumed that something had been blocked ( toy building bricks, app building blocks thought that was nice), so i clicked it as you do, low and behold Adobe Flash Player update had been blocked, upon further investigation I was surprised to find out that Chrome and Mozilla for sure have blocked the use of the Adobe Flash Player as it has Security issue mainly to do with those nasty people 'Hackers' ( Mr Job Of Apple had brought this to light some years ago, thats why they do not use it in apple machines), yes my firewall stopped it as well. Now to my point

    My Point

Would I be correct in saying that DO is a Flash Player based game, in other words if the flash player does not load the game becomes unplayable? Answers below please

    Second and hopefully final question.
Help, is there and does anybody know of a way around being able to use Waterfox (I will try other 64 bit browsers, but i do like the look and speed of Waterfox), I understand that HTML5 is now the way forward, not sure what that means to our DO game? Again answers below please.

    Disclaimer (lol)

At no time would I consider myself an Apple salesman, but Job did have a point, I use an i7 powered PC.

I am not saying flash player is a load of rubbish, but Adobe do not want to sort the issue or so it seems. For Sure Chrome and Mozilla do not

Would our wonderful mods please let me know if I have done anything incorrect here, if I have been incorrect in anyway,.. sorry

    Thanks for your Time
    thats is now

so do I, but its an old version, thats not good its a little leaky

  4. Try an updated version of Firefox. Browsers, extensions and game updates seem to go hand in hand. If you don't keep up with the updates, things seem to stop working. I stopped using Firefox because I got better resolutions and game experience out of chrome based browsers, but it seems to be a "depends on who you are" type of browser choice with gaming. Update your flash also if you have not already and try it out.

  5. Firefox should run very well for you with the system your using. It seems you will be using Flash Player mainly for DarkOrbit, so I wouldn't worry to much about the
leaky lol. Just make sure to keep the Flash updated and you will be fine. If you pull up task manager and look through All the processes you will see that FireFox uses only a few when playing the game. This comes in very handy for many Cpu's. Once you are in the game, you can find the process Flash Plugin Container and set its priority to above normal, and this will give you a little extra performance. Browsers like Chrome utilize several processes making it hard to prioritize the actual In-Game process. Opera is another browser you should look into using, since you are worried about the security risk of Flash but still want some performance. You can engage Opera Turbo which will disable all Flash plugins except for the ones you click on to run. This is just my two cents on it, but given I am familiar with your system...I figured I would throw some advice in here for you. ;)

    Emperor:eek:

  6. Odd, you should be able to play on Chrome just fine.

Completely uninstall Chrome and redownload it. Make sure it's 64 bit.

As for Waterfox, yea, you have to go to Adobe's official website & download Flash Player manually XD
