[TI] I can't play the game

I am experiencing what i think may be a plugin error of some kind.
Everything on the darkorbit menu is stopped, all timers aren't counting down, the line of text where deals are displayed is stopped, the ships in 3D version don't appear, this happens between both chrome and firefox and most importantly the start button isn't working, it leads to a blackscreen on occasion but it mostly doesn't do anything no matter how much i click it.
Ive restarted my computer, I've deleted all my history and download history on both browsers, ive updated adobe flashplayer, I've turned off my computer protection but that doesn't seem to help at all. I have over 250GB free storage left on my computer, I"ve tried everything i can think of, any help would be appreciated!

I've also restarted my computer several times.

Update:
The game is now working. Was this some temporary glitch?

If this ever happens again what do i do?

 

I also experienced certain issues earlier but they seem to have resolved... sometimes there is nothing to do but wait and try a little later... unless someone with more info on this incident can say more...

 

Sounds like flash player plugin wasnt working, sometimes restarting pc fixes it

 

Im having the same issue again, i hate to keep bugging everyone but this is just annoying :/.
Ive tried Internet Explorer,Chrome and firefox. Restarted my computer half a dozen times, reloaded the page countless times, ive updated, uninstalled, reinstalled every plugin i could find, im just stuck.
Game was working fine earlier, been having issue for past hour.
Just out of curiosity what is the plugin that runs the dark orbit menu and Game client?

Well for whatever reason, the game has been very laggy at times. I know, we all have to clean out history, flash player, blah blah blah..Its always the same routine when the game has issues. However game was doing ok with occasional lag spikes, but nothing on mai page works, game page wont load, and I know many of us are having these issues. I would think that the big guns of DO would already be trying to "FIX" whatever they broke, patience isnt a virtue, and its wearing thin. Even tho I contribute to the DO uri fund once in a while, it would be really neat if they could not keep breaking an enjoyable game. They have too many scripts running, maybe trying to put too much into the game at one time. who knows. Hope They Figure it out SOON!

 

The server is down so just relax its not on your end...wait for them to get it back up and running

I thank you for putting my mind at ease, thought i was the only one having this problem. Hope they fix it!

 

AND a response I like to see !!! I know they are working at getting server/game working. but at least we can unleash some thoughts for every one to feed off of

 

why doesn't the game post when they is a problem, error or update. when issue happen?
If its an update it hard to find which one when u have updates checked on your system for auto update
if the problem is at are end your the other.
and error's with isp or internet service.

it would be nice to see a popup at login how the game is doing and if we are up-to-date with the game product for general requirements.

at present my issue is at login but after the daily screen is were i am having the problem it looks like a flasher player problem on my end but i am update to date with everything on my end it look like it also disconnects me at that point also but i can work the back page but i get no info from bp while changing the pages

 

This happens everytime they try to add something new to game... for increasing their revenue. Its really amazing that instead of providing better customer care and better product they are to busy looking for ways to get more money from us ..Sad really sad

 

Perhaps that's not a bad idea, in the event of a game issue like one we are dealing with now; Some sort of op up after or during log in to inform us that the server is down would be useful. Perhaps even a forum thread where DO can give periodical updates as to whats happening and if the problems are being addressed. Any information at this point would at least be nice to know. Most games I have played on usually have a Server Status Page that one could check to see if server is running smooth, or being updated, or to show that a maintenance is being performed. Perhaps DarkOrbit should look into something like that, including adding a chat board to the forum so players can chat with each other, moderators etc. Just a thought.

There can and often have been other reasons for lag, gamepage not starting and the OPs problem not all caused by DO so maybe we should remember that they actually dont want the servers down or suffering in any way as it interferes with our enjoyment and therefore their revenue
