[TI] Inaccessible maps during server load hours

  1. Well i did some testing since i was at first unable to login to game client at all. after 15mn of being stuck at the connection screen i give up and try something else.

    I went to hangar then changed active ship to another in a less busy map (x-1), tried to login and it worked perfectly ( Feel free to try if it works for you )

    Warped back to my main ship and went to x-2 gate, all ok i could lock NPC and shoot on the way, i jumped successfully and same at x-2. tried then jumping from x-2 to x-4 and was stuck at the gate, waited for 4mn then tried to logout: Impossible..

    Closed the active window, switched ship again and logged in ok, tried to go through x-3 this time, all went fine until i tried to jump from x-3 to x-4 where the same issue happened.

    I also tried to use the jump CPU where countdown went to 0, the ship was immobilized but i was stuck in that position on the first map.

    All this to say, if servers were laggy and freezing because of them being under ddos, isn't it supposed to affect all maps since i'm still on the same server ?

    Funny thing is, i just bought boosters when i managed to login the first time :D

  2. The good thing is the boosters only countdown while you are actually in game. Right now is hitac which travels the lower x-3 and x-4 maps. I have not had this issue but it has been known that when an event is happening in a map, things can go haywire.

  3. Global America 1 is experiencing extremely bad lag at the moment, especially noticeable in the lowers maps (Hitac is the cause). Just want to play the game that we invest in, getting a bit ridiculous now.

    Yeah, there isn't really a DDoS attack. There might be on Friday last week, I could believe that, but definitely not now.
    It's just a typical excuse if something is not working or servers are overloaded. They are not used to to such traffic.
    Almost every company say such things, so don't worry. After the event ends, everything will be just like it used to be with normal bugs and lags. ;)

  5. Yes Rossi but events never ends with DO, they always pull a new one whether it's worth it or not, servers are only calm in the morning time then starting from 18h or 19h GMT time they start to get laggy again.

    Stable FPS but low server response time ? that's definitely server issues..
    If DO servers can't support this number of simultaneous online players, they really need to do something because it's only going to increase.

    More powerful servers, less overhead in the game code, or just make the big jump and make it a downloadable client, how about those solution ?
