[TI] lag or what?

i have bin boxing at 1-2, enemy start shooting me and i escaped to 1-3 and appear at jump portal at 1-3 , but mini map show that im on the middle of map with red (npc) around me. second after that same enemy start shooting me again but on 1-3, there is no way that he can come that fast. and why the hell i appear on midlle of map? its a little bit hard to explain on english what is hapedn right now.

Yep pretty standard lag, you see where you pet icon is? That's where your ship is in the game - the location on your screen is wrong. It's actually pretty common and the main reason behind autolock accusations as you can see why people will think it's somebody cheating.

Not really sure what causes it to happen but I don't think it's the users connection that is responsible; I've done a fair few tests using 2 accounts using the exact same internet connection and this lag always appears where the accounts are never at the same positions on each other's screen. They would only be in the correct location on each other screen when they were sitting still.
So on the guys screen who is shooting you, he can see you much closer to his own ship and well within his shooting range.

Sometimes it appears to be a lot worse then other times the lag is very slight - but it seems to always be there, if only a little.

 

also thats the reason why npc's stop shooting, i have done some testing on 4-5 last night and every time uber kristallon jump/move fast from 1 spot to other it stop shooting.

its not lag this happens to me when i fight some players near a port say you hit the jump to change maps and run from port before the jump the sever put s you in the middle of the next map you was jumping to and the game screen says your in the port but the sever thinks your in the middle and takes 30 too 60 sec too catch up and well i have a theory about this and its not good lol but this happens too me every time i battle this same player on east one

 

In many cases the issue is something very simple. However many do not want to actually look at what might be causing the problem as it is easier to say that it is a server issue.

Below is a variety of reasons as to why you could be. experiencing these issues.

1. Web Browser is not up to date
2. Flash and java not up to date - or missing plug ins
3. Cache needs to be empty
4. Browser history may need to be cleared.
5. Distance from server
6. Computer graphic overload. (Graphics card slow or not enough Ram).
7. Internet type - Wifi, DSL, cable broadband or phone connection.
8. Programs Running in the Background
9. Clear Flash player data: Can be done at the following link

10. Try a different Browser to see if issue continues.
11. Possible server problem.

These are all things that could be causing the issue, these are just suggestions as to what the issue might be to help you resolve the current problem. When I was having lag issues really bad... It was my graphic card not being able to process the information fast enough for what I liked.

hi i had lag in galaxy gates alpha and beta and lost all my lives because of lag i asked a cm and he said post in forums i should get my lives back please help and thanks sorry for not posting in my own post i dont see an easy way to do or access it.

 

Unfortunately the CM should have directed you to contact support and request a gate reset.

Has happened to me many times also the fact when I jump a port im being attacked which looks like from the other side of the map.DO for u.

 

Unfortunately game lag is something that we will all experience from time to time, however Astraea did list a number of reasons that contribute to game lag, including reasons that we as players can aim to control in order to reduce their effect on game lag (e.g. game settings, browser cache, outdated software etc.).

Since there has been no further comment or question from the original poster, i shall close the thread.
