[TI] Losing massive amounts of honor points - how and why?

I've been playing the game now just over a week and it seems like nearly every time I get killed, I'm losing 100,000's of Honor Points!

Just today, I got killed 3 or 4 times and I went from -899,000 Honor Points to -10,871,000 Honor Points. This just doesn't seem right!

Why should I spend money on this game (I have up to this point) if I'm going to get abused by the system???

This ceased to be a whole lot of fun for me several days ago when I noticed this problem!

Can anyone help; me here?? I'd like to be treated like everyone else.

Hi there Tnetcenter,

There are a few ways to get the negative honor points.
1. Collecting somebody else's Cargobox.
2. Destroying your company PET
3. Destroying Company members

Other than that, there are no other ways of getting the negative honor points.

There are few ways the Community or the Mods/Administrators can help you;
1. Provide them your user ID
2. Provide them with your shipname (in-game name)
3. Provide them with your server details
4. Provide them with some of the logs you have in the logbook from the days it was happening.

Just to add to BLOODTOXX93's advice go to your settings and make sure show hidden box's is unchecked to avoid stealing cargo also if you have a P.E.T and are boxing and show hidden box's is checked it will steal cargo and earn you lots of negative honor.

I have never had a PET.
I haven't killed ANY other players, just aliens.
I have picked up other's cargo boxes in the heat of battle, but how many do you have to pick up to go from -899,000 Honor points to -10,821,000 Honor Points in one game session getting killed 2 or 3 times????? I don't make it a habit to pick up anyone elses cargo boxes, but in the heat of battle, I do occasionally pick up some other players cargo boxes.

How can I tell if they're mine or not?? They all look the same yellow except for the light blue ones. If we're going to be SEVERELY penalized for picking up other's cargo boxes, we need to way to tell if they are ours or not OR to not be penalized for doing so!

Do you kill players, yes? Well there are a few things about this.
- Shooting your company member
- Shooting company members PET
- Shooting company CBS (If I remember correctly)

Not sure how it goes with the WAR on same company clans but I think it can be the issue of you attacking first.

Basically, cargo boxes have two colours - Yellow and Light Blue with a 'Timer' on the corner.
What do they mean?

Yellow Cargo Box means that it's yours.	Light Blue Cargo Box means that it's a Cargo from another player - this means that you SHOULD NOT pick it up at all until the "TIMER" DISAPPEARS and makes the cargo YELLOW.
Collecting all Yellow - You get 0 honor but you get resources.	Collecting all Blue - You loose honor. Every box you collect it will double the amount of negative honor you get for example; Your 1st Blue Cargo Box will take away 40 honor Your 2nd Blue Cargo Box will take away 80 honor Your 3rd Blue Cargo Box will take away 160 or 240 honor. It will multiply and increase into a huge amount.

There are the Bonus Boxes:
These Bonus Boxes will give you different content such as; Laser Ammunition, Uridium, Credits and etc.




Please provide the Logs, so we can see and help you with what is actually happening.

All I can say is WOW! I calculated out based on the last negative honor points entry in my log just how many cargo boxes I've apparently stolen - 18! Power of TWO baby! It would have been nice if this information was readily available somewhere easy to find - I've never seen the explanation provided about the colors of the cargo boxes or a timer. I knew about the penalty, but I didn't know about the colors, I thought light blue meant it was a special cargo box NOT someone elses.

At -10.8 MILLION Honor Points, I don't see anyway that I will ever recover from that unless I play every day for the next 5 to 10 years! That ain't possible.

The collection on blue cargo boxes will give negative honor - these add up very quickly.
As mentioned their is a mission that you can take to resolve this matter.

I would also recommend that you do as directed above and alter your settings so that this does not occur again.

First of all, the information regarding the color of cargo boxes, the timer, and so on IS NOT in the "Honor What is it for:" FAQ

Second, the mission to reset me to 0 Honor Points according to FAQ is called "An Offer You Can't Refuse" I am UNABLE to find that listed ANYWHERE in the mission listings including the "unavailable" ones So what do I do now?

I believe you cannot have any other mission working on other wise you wil not see the quest once you get the quest 2 days or less in lowers will get you back to zero

 

if you go to settings on your game page make sure to have section marked that says show other player cargo, show cargo that is not free have those checked off... if you have become an out law take the quest offer you cant refuse... once Outlaw your ship is weak only good for npc

 

Yeah! I'm seeing that weakness - I have to be armed to the hilt to even take on aliens!

 

So what's the secret to finding this quest/mission to restore my Honor Points to 0??? I have no active missions and I still am not seeing this mission!

 

i am not sure how to find the mission as it was 3 years ago when I did it, and I was in the same boat you are in now. How ever if you keep from stealing cargo boxes, you will find that as you do kill stuff, the honor will be going back towards the positive.

Try the nyx at the base. Best I can tell you.

 

There is a massive downside to being outlawed not only a very week ship and an hard mission to regain honor you also become open season to all because if you pop an outlaw from your own company there is no negative honor for killing an outlaw.

 

If you accept the special quest for negative players and you will keep killing npcs in x-2 for few hours you will get it back soon at pos, just dont give up !

 

I am NOT able to find this "special mission"!!! I've been through the Missions lists at least 4 or 5 times now looking for it and I'm not finding it!

Do you have any other missions working on now if you do cancel them then you will see the quest

 

In order to accept, "An Offer You Cannot Refuse," you have to abandon all of your current quests in the quest menu.
The mission blankly tells you to kill things until you're back to 0 honor, but everything (NPCs) give thousands of honor points with that quest active. You'll be back to positive in no time :>
I've been outlawed so bad before, and you're no where near mine xD I believe mine was around -28.1 trillion :3

 

I HAVE abandoned ALL of the missions/quests I've signed up for and I still CAN'T find this Quest!
