  1. Last week my IP was mistakenly banned said by support and my chat was back but yesterday, my chat says "System: Authorization failed!" after the server restart. i thought it was just an error so i restarted my laptop and cleared cache but now it won't even load. I also tried using my friends account to log in but the chat also doesn't work on my laptop. So i have no choice but to go OVER my friends house to see if it will work. So I played in my friends house using my laptop and the chat is working perfectly fine! but when i go home the chat says "System: Authorization failed!" again -,- So i think my IP is banned again for no actual reason.. I only use my chat to know the situation among our clan since our clan doesn't use TS. like for the example when my clan are bringing down shields of our CBS and they needed assistance. but how can i know if my chat doesn't work and always get mistakenly bann??

  2. Hi, the "Authorization failed" error (as far as I'm aware) doesn't have anything to do with your IP address. To resolve this issue, clear all of your browser cookies, log out, and then log back in again to the backpage.

why have you put your ip in the forum....

  4. Lol true. Better delete it before something bad happens!

  5. When you clear your browser cache close your browser, wait 10 seconds then reopen it.

  6. Hi,

as said above remove your IP now! i'm not saying this to be demanding, but bad things can happen if your IP gets into the wrong hands. I would advise removing Bigpoint aren't to blame if someone get's it and starts messing around with your Internet though your IP. (account's can be hacked though IP as-well)

  7. If you're asking someone to remove something, don't quote it! Even if they change their post, your quote will remain the same.

    Hello all,

First, thanks everyone for your input. Yes Authorization Failed can sometimes just be that cache (Flash & Java) need to be cleared.

However, there are times when an IP ban turns up.

@kanghyunae18; my best advice would be to contact support again with your IP and ask if they can check it once again. Unfortunately it seems that sometimes the system has a mind of it's own as IP bans just turn up without a way we are able to explain them. I understand that it is frustrating to have to keep requesting it beck checked & removed, but unfortunately if the IP is being banned again & again, it is the best (and safest!) course of action.

    Regards,

  9. I'd assume that has something to do with the fact that the majority of IP addresses are dynamic (here in the UK anyway), meaning that they change over time. My router usually reboots at around 2:30 every night on its own and then it's assigned a new IP by my ISP. If that IP was used by a user in the past and was blocked by a mod/admin, then the system would think I was that user because I have the IP that they had - therefore resulting in my inability to access the game, chat, or whatever it may be.

It's just the way the system works. Nowadays, using an IP address as a form of restricting users is unreliable and actually does more harm than good.

  10. Why the bans are applied on UID and IP? I understand why on UID but IP?

    Hi xXxBadeAcerxXx,

I am not sure what you mean? Most chat bans given by the moderating team are only applied to a specific user or UID as you put it. However in extreme cases where somebody is violating the chat rules across many accounts, we do have the option to give a user an IP ban, but this happens quite rarely. Unfortunately as Solid Eye explained, there are sometimes random IP bans given by the system that we cannot account for, and should that happen we are always forthcoming to lifting those bans.

Does the original poster have any further questions regarding this?

  12. Does a IP ban mean you can't Play Darkorbit anywhere using the internet with that IP?

  13. My ip is banned for some reason i have already contacted support about 5 or 6 days ago and they have not responded how long do they take to reply to my emails?
